Replacement Is The Key

When we came back from Penang with two big bears, we knew Ace would definitely ask us why he didn't have a bear...

So, we told him that Daddy will share his bear with him and so Ace took over Max's brown bear.

Now, I think I mentioned before that Ace has this carebear that he loves to death... he cannot sleep if carebear is not around and he would whine and walk around the whole house to search for it no matter how tired he is and refuse to sleep if he cannot find his carebear.. it is like his comfort pillow....

Now that he has his BIG BIG bear from Uncle Arthur, when we asked him if we could give his carebear away, he said, "Yes!"

Hahaha... so the trick to taking away what you dun want your kids to hold on to.. is replacement..

I was just talking to Max about our friend's one year old who has with a very strong mind of his own. Max was just saying how tough it must be for my friend who is a working mum as he felt tired just taking care of the toddler for 5 mins. I told Max that when I think back, that was probably one of the toughest times in motherhood for me too as one year olds do not understand logic and liked to test limits.... "Now that Ace can understand logic, we can persuade him, we can promote other things, we can appeal to his sense of fun, his desire for other things... but back then, at age one.. parents only had ONE strategy-- REPLACEMENT...

So guys, remember.. REPLACEMENT IS THE KEY! And this strategy never fails and is useful for ALL AGES! hahahahahaha...
