Camp At Home August 2013

Signed Ace up for the Camp@Home organized by the Singapore Overseas Portal..

Not bad leh.. they actually changed the things that the kids are doing so that returning campers actually have a different experience as well ;)

This time round, the kids got to take a boat ride around Singapore.. bummer though that it rained..

Stole some of these photos from the OSU website.

On top of that, the kids got to visit Pulau Ubin!

So cool right? Even I have never been to Pulao Ubin before in my life.. But Ace said that the only thing he did not like about Pulau Ubin is that there were too many mosquitoes!:)

He came back with lots of bites even though everyone was given a mosquito repellent patch... The experience though inspired him to want to invent a shirt that is a reusable mosquito repellent to keep children safe from bugs.. hahaha....

The children got to play some traditional games while they were there...

And Ace told me they had prata for lunch.. and Ace was very happy to tell me that he can finally conquer the curry for the prata:) wahahahah

Day 2... was a one day event at Pei Tong Primary school. Because it was near the MRT station.. and also because there are many people in my house using the bathroom so have to arrange time table right.. I had to wake earlier to bath and everything.. so I decided that we will take MRT in that case...

As Ace had been sleeping late everyday and waking very early these two days.. he had PANDA EYES!

This time round, Ace chose the CCA of his choice... he got to do WUSHU and enjoyed it pretty much...

When it was finally time to go home... that was what happened the moment someone stood up and he got a seat... so poor thing...

Day 3 leh, they went to China town in the morning...

Everyone had chicken rice for lunch and Ace had vegetarian food...

I think they also visited kampong glam, etc etc etc...

While they were in China town.. they got to try traditional cakes and pastries...

But if you notice, Ace is always in a corner, looking at maps and what not...

See, in background reading map again.. I asked him why.. he said cos most of it he cannot eat since it is not vegeterian.. so he read map lor...

They went back to camp site to do their graduating ceremony...

That jiejie on the right in red... keeps telling me what a good little boy Ace is.. says he is always excited to share...

Graduation time!

Farewell, fellow campers!

As you can tell he super tired by then...

Unlike his fresh faced look on day one...

Anyway, I am glad he enjoyed it lah.. I think i will continue to let him attend camp at home whenever possible because it really does help to keep him connected to Singapore..

Many thanks to all at Learning Horizon and Overseas Singapore Unit for organizing such a wonderful camp! :)
