Meeting Tiffany

Met up with Tiffany's parents for a gathering just between our two families as we haven't seen each other in a while.

Perhaps it is because both kids have grown older.. even though Ace is still excited to meet Tiff.. he talks about her less often now...

And even though they are still happy and friendly when they meet... both of them are a little shy with each other now...

Oh well, to Ace, he still thinks of Tiff as his only love.. no one in his school has caught his fancy yet..  I guess it also has to do with the fact that at his current age.. he is only concerned about fun things like going for play dates lah.. playing.. going gai gai.. playing games on the ipad.. or watching youtube cartoons...

THe interesting thing was we met up at one of our favourite vegeterian places that sells vegeterian salty duck soup that I SO LOVE! And Ace's good friend cum owner of the restaurant, S, was there... She follows this blog and knows he has a girl he likes calls Tiffany.. and when we met her at the restaurant, only did she realize that she knows Tiffany as well as her parents are regulars as well :) hahaha...

Well, S was so happy to see Ace again she treat him to a drink :) Many thanks S jie jie.. hahaha..

PS:  The last time I talked about vegeterian food in North South East West (sister company with this one actually), many pple asked me how to go lah.. this and tat.. so this time round, just add in the details here lah.. .

Rice House Vegetarian
Location: Blk 129, Geylang East Avenue 2, #01-129

Opening Hours: Closed Monday. 10:30am-10:00pm
Contact: 67473739

Our favourites are: Salted Veggie Duck Soup, Chicken Rice, Duck Rice, Steamed Fish with Rice, Deep fried toufu and deep fried "niu bang"

We found out that they opened a store next to the restaurant tat sells all sorts of yummy vegeterian foods like vegeterian premixes, sachet soups, mock meat, beans, miso.. etc etc etc... We bought some that S told us can be eaten after you put the whole packet into hot water for a few minutes... from Taiwan. looks very good but dun have chance to try yet!:)

Ah, it is great to be in Singapore. I do miss the chinese style vegeterian foods available here. In dubai, there are no CHINESE vegeterian shops.. the only one we found has closed down (I think cannot survive because their prices are horrendously high!)...

But then again, it is because of the lack of these yummy good foods that I learnt to cook:) So I guess you lose some, you gain some:)

PS: I noticed Ace did not seem to talk about Tiffy so much these days and when they met, he was not as excited as before. So I asked him if he still had someone that he liked or no one at the moment.. he thought for a while and shyly told me.. "I still like Tiffany lah..." Hahahaha...
