ACE, ACE, Baby!:P: Bangkok Day 2: Elephant Show And Cultural Performance

After a short rest in the hotel we headed back to the Cultural Village to catch the cultural performance...

First off.. you get to watch the elephant show.. that is the elephant getting ready:)

So clever.. can hoola hoop:)

You will never expect them to be so agile!

They are really strong.. can lug pieces of wood many times their weight over long distances...

Time to watch the cultural performance..

First is a musical performance using thai instruments. Unfortunately, all these instruments they are using I think are not tuned properly.. chao xia one!:) ahahahahahahha

And then we start to understand why when the performers came out.. turns out that all the people we meet in the cultural village double up as performers in the afternoon show. Check out the lady in PINK! Same lady who taught us how to make the banana snack!

This one is procession for someone who is going to be a monk. Likely a rich person then can afford lah..

Ooh.. check out the dancer in pink on the far left... isnt that the lady who taught me and Ace how to make flower garlands!?:P wahahahaha

Then as part of the performance, there was a boxing match.. the boy in red in sleeveless beside the red boxer was the one who taught Ace how to use the sword!

That is them doing special dance to pay homage to their teacher... before the start of the competition :)

Got intermission and they will splash water over them as they rest.. the lau uncle in the ring in blue is the one who taught kungfu to Ace.. hahaha

These people are doing Thai martial arts and they also do dance to pay homange.. but hor, the women very strange.. they will tie a cloth over their breasts.. I think maybe it acts as a make shift sports bra for when they are fighting bah..

Next up is thai wedding...

THe couple will lie there and then pple will walk past and our water over their hands as blessings.. the two pots of flowers are actually containers to contain the water ;)

I think this is what thais call 永结同心...

And Kung fu teacher is 多才多艺ne!

Then they did the bamboo dance... they are good.. very fast and the leg wun get kiaped :)

Grand finale where they walk around with flags of the world.. felt good actually to see both the Singaporean flag and even the UAE flag! :) wahahaha

Havent had lunch but also not very hungry.. so went to the small cafe nearby for some snacks.. very quaint...

I settled for some thai ice tea flavour

Ace had his in coconut flavour

Max just had banana chips and BEER!

Very interesting cupboard..

Nothing to do.. so camwhore a little..

Flipped through the magazine and saw that chopard has new SPORTS model watch.. chio!

Ace and Max do their part for the environment.. hahaha.. and had a comepetition.. Ace won.. cos his paddle turned more rounds:)

Saw ixoras and showed Ace this is the flower we ate the other day and told him again about the sweet nectar and how we used to suck the nectar out when we were kids..

Back in hotel lobby.. saw a really nice picture...

Since zoh boh and still too early for dinner.. we decided to go hang out in the pool...

Max made Ace swim here and there.. all across the pool...

Me? I just chill out beside and take photos lah :)

That's Ace looking very upset because he got frightened in the deep end of the pool.. and cried.. Dunno he scared wat.. he can swim and can trek water leh..

Meanwhile.. I got a board.. and then I just float here and there.. quite leisurely and quite shiok.. hahaha... next house in Dubai.. we have to get one with pool!

Then it is time for water gun war!

Back in our room!

Our good friend.. moment he bath liao.. allhe want to do is logon and watch youtube.. bth him.. want to watch youtube. stay in singapore lah.. watch two mths holiday non stop still no watch enough!

Dinner at the same place. To our surprise, Ace said that he liked the green curry and requested that we order again. Too bad however .. cos I think they changed chef and it tasted different.. Ace say it dun taste nice today...

First time see fungus fried with chilli and mushroom.. sort of tom yam sauce like tat.. taste quite refreshing!

Asked Ace to take photo for us and he go and press the shutter again and again and again... so we entertain him and make diff expressions for him lor..

had some red wine left over so bring back to room.. and then the two ah siao decided to pose in the garden on the way back...

Ace was tickled pink by this sculpture cos he say the sculpture show off his ass crack!

When we went back.. we thought we should make use of our welcome drink and not let it go to waste.. so we ordered them and waited at this lounge area and then Ace was very excited and said, "Mummy.. the sweet flower!!"

And he said he wanted to taste.. so i plucked one and squeeze out the nectar for him and then he tasted liao and declared that it is "very sweet!"

Afterward, he just wouldnt stop eating and kept plucking and eating and muttered, "So yummy!" And then he went on to try the different flowers and even told me that the YELLOW one is the sweetest! hahahaha
