Crossroads

Some time back, our friend sent us an email about a free IMAX Movie screening.

As Dubai was bidding for EXPO 2020.. as part of the many activities they have planned to include the residents and citizens of Dubai in the bid, they will be showing this IMAX movie called Crossroads FREE! All you need to do was to register somewhere in their website.

I was a little apprehensive. Used to the systemic way things are done in Singapore, I wondered whether I have successfully reserved a ticket because there was no confirmation email and no where could I find any information. But wat the heck lah.. we decided to just try our like and drive there and see how lah.. since they have a showing every hour.. we thought we can always go for the next show if we miss the one we signed up for...

Crossroads is sort of a documentary about Dubai's building of their third terminal. Quite apt since I think this terminal was built in anticipation of their win to host EXPO 2020.... And it was quite interesting too because I get a glimpse into the behind the scenes things happening in the airport... and I learnt that hor.. contrary to what Max always say about how once you check in the lugguage, the plane will have to wait for you...  it doesn't mean once your luggage is checked in, the flight will not take off without you.. cos they will pull out your luggage and standby to remove it if you dun arrive on time lor!

In my mind.. a free movie leh.. sure alot of pple will cheong.... in Singapore.. surely this will be full and there will be queues all the way...

But to our surprise when we arrived, there weren't really many people around...

As Ace had just gone on an excursion to the IMax Theatre to watch a movie about the Islamic Religion as part of their topic about different religions and life in UAE in school, we just followed him to the theatre..

The theatre was something like 5% full lor... such a pity.. the movie is really not too bad:)

Initially, Ace was upset.. I forgot why lah.. and then I said I want to take his photo and he covered his face and all that.. and then, we noticed that in the row behind us, there was this indian couple.. and the man actually had his feet sticking out between the chairs at the area where we intitially wanted to sit lor! Hahaaahahahahhahaha

Father and son cannot help giggling everytime they turned to look at THE FOOT.. hahahahah

After the movie we decided to show our support for the EXPO2020 by signing our names on this huge map of the world the organizers have provided..

Can you spot where Singapore is???

 Our blessings and signatures :)

Ace was so excited he went on to add in another part of the map "Expo 2020 is EPIC!" wahahaha..
