Shu Shu Wedding In Vietnam (Part 2)

大天来了!

The big day has arrived and it is time for Shushu's wedding ceremony in Vietnam..

It is lucky for us that we get a chance to see another country's wedding customs. These are the dowry gifts you have to bring along when the groom goes pick up the bride...  Fruits lah.. candles, jewelry, and a suckling pig:) haha

Our prince looking grumpy cos he slept too late the night before and woke too early.. hahaha:)

As they needed the same amount of "brothers" and "sisters", and some of the people said they will help fly aeroplane, both Ace and Max had to take up the role lor:) hahahaha...

Yeye says Ace very handsome like this and they should take photo together:)

Then it is time to go!:) Ace was seated next to his new best friend, WX gor gor who asked him alot of questions about school in Singapore vs school in Dubai. I think WX gor gor really very patient lor!:) wahaha

Then the brothers have to hand over the gifts to the sisters..

Then we went up to the room where the ceremony is to be held. They then take out the dowry money and lay it out like a fan like tat... Then everyone had to talk a little bit to announce what is happening next and say wat they have to say...

And finally bride comes out:)

Then MIL have to help bride put on the 4 dot gold. Actually hor, apparently usually the in laws won't come along. Our case is just cos we are there for a trip and since everyone go, both parents also go along.. as it will make the whole procession even more grand..

THen time to exchange rings lor:)

And time for tea ceremony..

Actually very interesting to me.. apparently in vietnam, when you jing cha.. they will give the bride something and give the groom something too. Usually it is a ring.. so they have so many rings on their hands at the end of the tea session!:) wahahaha

The display so cute hor.. made of fruits.. and so pretty..

Ace tried to entertain himself by playing with the gua zi.. hahaa

Then there was a meal being provided with the last dish being some sort of steamboat chicken soup...

Meanwhile bride and groom having fun with the jie mei:) wahahaha

After that, we all went back to the hotel to rest and then it was time for the wedding dinner...

When I arrived at the venue.. I was shocked.. i thought how come so many wedding couples on this day.. only to realize that these are the welcome party provided by the venue:) hahahaha..

Apparently this is a high class venue/club that is used specially for holding wedding and special occasions.

Outside the room, they even have a special place for you to take photos lor..

And then the lights are off...

And there is some sort of dance performance as opening ceremony..

That ended with the bride and groom coming in..

The MC so chio right:) hahah

Then they have to light candles in front of this two huge rings...

And cut the cake..

And then pour champagne... the glass below got lights and they put something in the glass so that as you pour the champagne, the glass will change colour...

Our good friend yiao dio and cannot wait for the food to come:) wahahaha

During the eating time, they have live band that provides karaoke too.. got this uncle kept going up to sing.. and then people even put money in flower for him.. but actually, his singing was not very good:) wahahahaha

Time to say goodbye.

On the way back ot hotel.. saw this.. din know Popo also have business here ah:) wahahaha
