Legoland Malaysia (Part 1)

Since Legoland opened its doors a few years back, Ace has been bugging me to bring him there. However, as I have realized that he is not much of a theme park person due to our experience after visiting Universal Studios and Hong kong Disneyland with him, I have always rejected his request to go..

As Ace always doesnt want to take this ride or that ride, I always feel as if I am wasiting my money when I bring him to any theme park.

But leh, he has been bugging me about it since we returned to sgp and since we are not travelling this year end, Max said ok...

Initially we wanted to go and a playdate with LL as LL also likes lego like Ace and they had such a good time playing together and both are looking forward to playing together again.. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a time where both setsof parents are free and so I asked Ace if he is ok to go on our own...

Ace says he thnks it is no fun to go alone.. so i racked my brains to think.. who will enjoy going as well.. i think and thought hard and long and then remembered T and O might like it since T likes everything Ace likes and both of them love theme parks.. After all, we had quite a good time at Haw Par Villa last time we went on a trip out together.. so we made plans to go together...

The kids were so excited..night before, the whole jim gang when to NTUC and bought tonnes of stuff to snack on (which we in the end did not really eat because the road trip to Legoland is actually VERY SHORT).

Ace's ticket:) Note however if you can plan in advance and buy at least one week in advance, you enjoy some discount.

A wefie before we go right into legoland..

First thing to do.. grab a map and guide:)

What a great advertisement.. i wonder how many pieces it took to make this and how long it took..

 Another delicious looking advertisement..hahaha

 Lego Hello Kitty!:)

 Where do we go first?

First stop.. we did a warm up "teacup ride" ;)

After ONE warm up, the kids decided to aim for the scariest ride of all.. the PROJECT X which is a super fast super scary roller coaster.

Max went with th three kiddos and me and their mum were just happy to sit around, chat and camwhore:) wahahaha..

To my surprise, when I asked Ace which was the thing he enjoyed must among all the holiday activities we had taken part in.. he said it was legoland and cited this particular ride as the most fun because it was the scarriest.. hahaha.. maybe he trying to sound brave:) or maybe he is very proud of the fact that he survived this ride:) wahahaha.. I( thought though that all 4 of them looked like they were not too scared even though they all said this ride is the scariest:)

The next ride is some ride where you will ride a "car" that will turn in circles while you were be attackedwith water..

My back was totally wet after this.. T had SPECIAL design on her t shirt after this:)

Next, we went to the part where they hold lego workshops.. when we went in, a worksho that teaches how to program lego robots has just started. I asked Ace to join but to my surprise, he did not want to join. The reason is that this robot is not the robot that he likes and want to buy (as this is an older version and looks different).

I really think my son is a very strange boy lor.. I tot he like robots but he turned down a chance to learn how to program the robot. Heng ah, last time din waste money to send him to robotics class..

Then we saw the Star Wars exhibition and wanted to go... Asked Ace to pose for  quick photo (the crowd was coming in quickly and we dun want to get in other pple's way) with Darth Vader but he did not want. Dun want then get out of the picture frame lah.. he dun want.. he stand in the frame and waste time and throw a  tantrum and show me black face.. Max got upset and quickly went to queue and ignored him. It is during these times where I really feel like giving my son a slap and regret bringing him out. Can never understand why going out is a happy thing but he always has to make me feel like I really regret bringing him out with his bad attitude and his blackface. In the end only T and O took pics and I also quickly snap a few photos before joining the queue lah..

Then suddenly I turned around and saw this..and what is it that captivated the kids?:)

It is actually a lego movie they are showing on a small queue :)

Then when we finally got to go in.. they hand this area where they showed a 5 in lego movie about star wars characters.. however, the only provide a few seats so had to stand and kenna blcoked.. and then there was no aircon and there was a strong smell of sweat there... bad planning by the exhibitions organizers lor...

But I must say the amount of details inside the exhibition is quite amazing.. must have taken a long long time to build the whole thing..

How come Obi Wan dun have face ah?

This piece is very big and even though just grey throughout, it is made of many small pieces... how many pieces do you think this is made up of? Answer is below..

Even santa came into the world of star wars.. hahaha:)

So cute right.. but we want to buy also cannot find...

At exit, there are a few large figurines about Ace's height.. so nice.. but too bad alot of people and alot of reflection.. so very diffcult to take picture..

After that, we went on to look more more things to play with...

The next section is the DRAGON section where there are two dragon roller coasters... there is a BIG dragon and a SMALL dragon...

They tell me is very mild and very slow one.. jio me go and take the small dragon roller coaster...and then I agreed.. wah lau, my whole heart drop out..

I sit inside and the moment it roller coaster starts going down, I just close my eyes and scream.. through the WHOLE RIDE.. wahahaha..

After that, i HAD to sit down and rest while the kids went to have fun at the playground..

And now, Max, T and O want to challenge the big dragon.. Ace says he doesnt want to do it cos it is too frightening.. and so Ace sat out with me.... max tried to challenge and goad Ace into doing it but Ace just became grumpy...

Check out these cute lego bees!:)

The brave ones zooming past us on the big dragon!

I think O is amazing.. she raises her hands and smiles through all the rides!:)

The kids saw the coin making machine and all want to make one coin each..

Ace chose the dragon design...

There was a performance going on... so we sat down to watch..

Halfway though, Max say very boring and we decided to say goodbye and move on..

Passed by those pasar malam stall and tried the put the ring round the bottle game. Much harder than we thought...

Tried the catch a duck game.. this one at least sure win.. just tat win wat onli:) In the end all three won a giraffe :)

What a lovely lego garden:)

Then the kids saw this helicopter game and decided we will go back again later to play..

There is a restaurant there and since it is getting late, we decided it is time to have lunch... There were a few sets to choose from and if you choose a single adult set, there is a free keychain.. and then our good friend throw tantrum cos we chose the family set without the keychain and he wanted the keychain.. whine whine whine whine whine.. sigh...

I told him if he wanted the keychain, just go and tell Daddy properly.. Anyway, we realized not enough food to eat if we only buy the family set.. so Ace's wish came ture:)

He chose the crocodile keychain..

Actually I must say hor.. the legoland theme park is a cheapo theme park... It is not so expensive to get in.. and most of the things they provide here are bare bones.. there are not alot of shelters here and not many air con places to hide.. no wonder many complain it is very hot.. and the restaurant are far and few in between and they are really dirty.. even Ace noticed how dirty it is..

wefie at our table:)

After our meal, went outside the restaurant to explore a little.. hahaha :)

Then we noticed there is a 4D movie and decided that we will come back later to watch the 4 D movie.

And so.. this marks the part 1 of our trip to legoland:) Too many pics.. cannot post in one post.. haha :)
