Lions Vietnam Charity Trip- Day 4 & 5 At Ho Chi Min

 Today is shopping day!

Early morning after breakfast, we decided to make our way to the market to walk walk one round first cos later in the afternoon we needed to go visit another orphanage and Max is needed to go grocery shopping with the committee later...

WHat a strange sight wor.. looks like the famous indian temple in SGP...

And then we see this...

Apparently, it used to serve kick ass singaporean food.. but now not so cos it was bought over liao..

Seems like they are supposedly famous for chicken rice..

WEnt to Ban THant Market to walk walk.. so many fake bao bao.. I want!!!!

Walked around and saw a nice Hello Kitty towel.. but they no want to give me discount so I no want to buy... LOL.. in the end, my turn to buy backpack... I bought same one as Max but different colour... and the person had to go to the market to find another piece for me cos the only piece in his shop had a slight defect..... THis is supposed to replace my current backpack...

Nothing to do while waiting for them to get my bag from the market.. so i take photo lor...

After we bought the stuff and were on way back.. Max say thirsty liao.. weather so warm... sit down for a drink... And imagine my delight when I found the Buah Chiku shake that I loved.... Best ever chiku shake I had was from this indian eatery near our house in Dubai and I so miss the taste!

GOt Chiku wor.. confirm got the juice! Let's go!

Kopitiam where time seems to have stood still...

As usual.. Max CANNOT dun take photo of his beer.. Wonder when then will he cannot dun take photo of his wife leh? ;P

Not even noon already drinking..

My chiku shake.. not as good as Dubai though.. too little chiku.. too much milk.. I prefer ALOT of chiku.. very little milk:)

On our way back, saw someone roasting pig...

I think this is traditional wedding outfit..

All our spoils for the day...

Meanwhile, Ace also having a great time cos Ah Yee and net net brought him and Cay out.. I think to watch movie or something...

Then the comittee members went grocery shopping.. so I stay in my room and zoh boh... When my other lion frens came back, they jio me to their room cos got hao liao!

So I ate a little and take it as lunch and then, we made our way out SHOPPING!

I bought ONE blouse.. finally:) hahaha

Here are some photos of the busy committee members buying groceries:)

And finally, they were back and we got on the van to travel to this orphanage for the blind. It is the second time our club is donating to them but is my first time visiting them....

One pic before getting on the go!:)

At traffic junction, saw this poor guy selling the toy that will jump... he just repeatedly make the toy jump again and again and again.. wat a boring job! I hope he has good business and can go home and enjoy some time with his family...

 Peak hour traffic!

And then we arrived!

Helping to carry stuff...

They were having dinner when we arrived and then, the KFC arrived.. woohoo!

And we were greeted with a song!

I spoke to the nuns here who are taking care of the children. They are all so kind and loving.. and it is little wonder that the children are happy.. they are loved and well taken care of.

The orphanage is started buy a philanthropist who is blind himself. When I saw his photo.. tears came to my eyes and I could feel all the love he had for these children... such a great man..

Part of the groceries we brought..

Giving out KFC.. Happy that they enjoy the treat:)

We were invited to go in and take a look at their living quarters...

THey are learning music too.. apparently so they can make a living in future.. by performing.

We were also told that there are many uni students who volunteer here to be their tuition teachers...

 THeir bedrooms...

 Kitchen...

So the kids were singing and singing.. and their singing is filled with delight.. very touching!:)

Then we walked to another building.. cos apparently they have one building for boys and one for girls and they just only gather together for meals...

Saw an old school drink stall on the way...

That is the picture of the founder of this orphanage.. there on the wall..

When we were about to leave, they asked us to take a souvenior.. the nuns made these for all donors.. so sweet lor...

Dua ginna bz selfie-ing with this cute kid:)

 Bye bye! See you again!

Then we were on the way to dinner.... but tot since everyone in vest, take a quick photo at our hotel lobby cos our taiwanese friends wanted to dinner in their room...

My frens laugh at me.. say I very can pose.. I say people HDG pose... I must match mah!:)

As with tradition, we were given banneretes from their club as well...

Dinner time!

Kangkong here very strange one... no leaves one:) hahaha

THen we went back, rested awhile and since everyone so happy, we tot go and R and R lah.... go Big big karaoke so that singers can sing and dancers can dance... Yes, dancers... our taiwanese counterparts are actually judges for international ballroom dancing competitions okie.. dun play play!

Wanted to go this one.. but reached there.. they were fully  booked! sian.. so took cab to another one tat the staff recommended..

Saw a strange fruit in the fruit platter and tried.. still cannot tell wat it is:)

Collaboration between SGP and Taiwanese Lions... hahaha.... Our Agogo jie mei hua from SGP singing and our Taiwanese dancers dancing.. too bad the dance floor a little small.. or they could really dance their nice nice dance..

And then we went back lor.. But Max said he wanted to go get a drink and wait up for his soccer match. So I went back alone to the room... bath, dry hair and shake leg:) LOL...

Last day was a mad rush to do some quick shopping before we head to airport..we shopped hor.. till we got no money left then kam wan to go home:) LOL

Last pho before I go home...

The bag so cute hor.. we walked this time round Siam Square and all the shops looked the same... we almost got lost!

Max finally found his shirt.. but hor, this shirt though look good... is not tat good... when he came home and dressed in that shirt... he got sunburnt when he went to play golf... LOL

After we are done with siam square, we went across the street... Saw all these lovely stuff... but they are so ex...  so in the end just use eyes to enjoy:) hahahaha

Then time for lunch and our president gave us a treat... I ordered Matcha float... nice!

Then since nothing to do.. play Pokemon Go lor.. caught something I did not have :) hahaha
