China Trip Pt 19: Prince Bay Garden

After we are done feeding the fish, I was so happy to find out that we still have a teeny weeny bit of time to visit Prince Bay Garden:)Cos that was one of the things I had on my to do list..

The day before, we asked our tour guide if that place is worth visiting and they told us that the tulips have all wilted. You see, every year, they import tonnes of tulips from overseas and so the flowers are like a highlight.. a week ago would have been a good time to see them but now, a week later, as the weather is turning warm, they ahve all started to wilt.. and tat was why we decided to give it a pass..

And true enough, most of the tulips are half wilted. I would imagine they would be so much prettier if tehre were not wilted yet BUT leh, I was still glad we came and wished that we had more time to spend here.. I think if we had time to slowly enjoy ourselves, our family could have easily spent a whole day in the two parks;)

See, that is how tulips look like when they are wilted and opened up.. they look like a different flower!

Max has ever visited amsterdam before but he never thought of going to take a look at the tulips in bloom when he was there.. now that he is old, he is so into flowers and always taking photos of them.. Sign of age.. ahahahahahahahah...

test

It is a lovely landscape...

Remember I told you lao uncle likes to take photo of flowers? So what is he doing again??

He is taking photos of bees and butterflies! Hahahaha.. This is a photo I took using my iphone...

It was pretty noisy as there were lots of children around.. these boys were using those mist sprayers as water guns!

I think the chinese people are really very innovative. You know in the western world, little girls like to pretend to be princesses and they will have those plastic silver crowns with feathery decorations to make everything look princessy.. but as we are in China, they added beads on the sides and few fluffs of balls to make the headgear look like a CHINESE PRINCESS! hahahaha.. interesting!

Anyway, these are pics taken by Max using our camera... i love this camera...

I really love this photo! You can even see the head of the butterfly.. I am thankful the butterfly tat flew around was black and blue instead of white cos then there wouldnt be much contrast to make a nice picture...

Meanwhile, me and Ace were just enjoying ourselves looking around..

And we found more tulips!

In China, people have very little regard for rules... This pic is taken to show wat happened.. these people, in bid to take a nice photo stepped right inside the growing flowers IN FRONT OF A POLICEMAN (the figure in black on the left). Maybe it was because the policeman was well camouflaged.. cos he was sitting at the bench and singing a little tune to himself and a minute before, Max was just saying this policeman very good life...

Anyway, when these people stepped into the flowers, he got up and shouted at them loudly, "Get out, get out! That is a $50,000 fine you know.." he said in mandarin and the people left.. I think he just wanted to scared them and did not really mean to fine anyone.. if he were in our fine city, I think tat person already kenna...

I suspect tat if you took an ariel view of this, you would see a heart shape for these flowers.,

Another heart shape.. but the tulips inside are mostly gone..:(

And since this is such a beautiful place, it is no surprise that there are many wedding couples taking photos here.. we saw three pairs of them...

At least the gowns here look a little more decent and not garish like the ones we have seen in Suzhou.. hahaha

Oops.. I think I spoke too soon.. why does this girl wanna wear this pregnant looking dress and why in the world did she think putting a BIG, PINK flower on her hair is nice????

Then we saw something amusing.. notice this groom? He quite young and handsome right.. but look carefully at his right cheek.. there is a mole with a few strands of long, ah pek hair peeking out!!! Eeeew.... how can he keep tat on his face and think it is sexy or wat!!???

Okie, goodbye West Lake..for good..

That is the traffic there.. while we were travelling around in cab, we thought that it seemed strange that all the cab drivers were in a super bad mood.. cos they were all gripping the wheel hard and swearing under their breadths.. But we later found out that Hangzhou is well known for traffic jam and there are no so called peak hours...

But still, today being a tuesday... most of the roads near this area are supposed to be two way but because of all the tour buses that are parked by the sides, the roads have become one way.. like during weekends... so tat is why the cab drivers are all super du lan...

Max found a bug on his finger and asked me to take a picture of it..

With that, we went back to our hotel and packed and got ready to leave Hangzhou...
