China Trip Pt 18: Flower Harbour Viewing Fish (Hangzhou)

We had a long day ahead for us as we only had half a day left in Hangzhou before we go take a bus back to Shanghai for our flight back to Dubai. If I had known what was ahead of us, I would have woken up much earlier! :) hahahaha

Anyway, we woke up and tried to search for Ace's watch but we still could not find it:( Really dunno where it has gone! So we told him let's not waste time and go out quickly for breakfast... he sulked but was pacified when we told him that today we are going to feed fish.. cos I found out from the map of West Lake that there is a place called Hua Gang Guan Yu to feed fish..

I would have liked to also visit the Prince Bay Garden but I thought it would be better for Ace if he got to feed fish one last time for this trip...

Saw this interesting food.. looks like prata wrapped in you zha kway with sweet sauce tat tasted like hoi sin sauce.. but not very nice...

Ace still looking upset because he still misses his watch...

Let's have a good breakfast! Cos I think we dun have the time to eat lunch... so I ate and ate and ate.. till I full full full.. wahahahaha

He perked up though much later.. remember we found out there is ice cream on the first day? I din see it today and so Max went to look for it.. turns out that there IS ice cream but they covered it with a cloth and when they saw Max trying to take it, they tried to stop him BUT Ace was with him and Max told them that he is taking it for the child and they just close one eye lor:) Max took two scoops for Ace... but one thing about my son is tat he is very disciplined about food when it matters cos he ate one scoop and declared that he was full already and left the rest of it for me:)

This is view from where we had breakfast... Hangzhou city and the far horizon is the West Lake..

After that, we went to the art gallery to claim our free chinese painting.. you see, the hotel gave out a free painting to the guest who is staying for more than one night.. so there is this art gallery.. that if you went in and chose any painting, it is free.. but yo have to pay the cost of framing it.. and there were many nice ones and the only nice one tat we all liked cost $2000RMB so we just let Ace pick any painting for free lor... tat jie jie very nice..we had wanted to pick the day before but there werent any nice paintings and she said to come back again tomorrow so tat she has more paintings for Ace to choose and Ace chose a bird with a plum blossom.. quite representative of our trip I think:)

In a cab now and searching for Flower Harbour Gazing Fish... hahaha

And to my surprise, the weather is dam good today and we passed by Lei Feng Pagoda! Yeah! Can take a nice pic of it.. one less regret for this trip...

Just FYI, my sis told me that the tour guide told her tat anyone who is afraid of their wife can put wivey's photo under the photo of Lei Feng Pagoda to curb them.. wahahahahaha:)

Just take more lah.. since weather is good;)

We arrived! But we are not sure where it is tat we can feed fish... We saw a bridge and figured we are on one of the causeway.. probably this is the Bai Di..

Ace and Max decided to play this game he read in a book where you can throw a stick/leaf together and see whose stick flows faster..

But their leaves got stuck.. hahaha:)

And to my surprise, when we found where the Flower Harbour Park is.. we discovered the Prince Bay Garden is just beside it! If we are quick about it, we can do both! Gee, really no more regrets for this trip! So happy.. thank god for always planning in such a way that things are always the best it can be!:)

While searching for the koi ponds, we found a Peony Flower Garden..

Nice hor:)

Saw some sparrows dancing on the bridge.. so cute:)

Max also bought Ace a big round bread to feed the fish and Ace was super happy cos he was so worried that we cannot find fish food here..

There werent much signs so we just tried our best to find the koi ponds by ourselves..

And so we wandered about lots of beautiful scenery..

Can yo see Lei Feng Pagoda in a distance?

Once of the scenes famous in the West Lake is Lei Feng Xi Zhao.. which is like Lei Feng Pagoda in sunset.. So I did some photoshop and pretend tat I got to see that too:) wahahaaahahahah:)

Then we found it! The koi fish ponds!

But the water is murky and there doesnt seem to be much fish..

Initially, Ace was upset because there did not seem to be much fishes around..

As they continued to feed the fishes, the fishes started to realize there is food here and started to gather!

And because they created a cluster of fishes, other people started to do the same nearby and there started to be even more fish and lots of people wish they had fish food.. hahahah
But hor, we were feeding the fish cheap bread and the other pple were feeding the fish with their high class cakes which cost alot more:) wahahahaha

A very happy Ace with his fishes..

We saw alot of people wearing flowers in their hair.. it is fake peach blossom flowers tat they twirl around their hair.. I was sort of tempted to get one but think i might look like a hua chi.. wahahaha:) so I din..

More pics of Lei Feng Pagoda:)

We saw this tree which is actually one three split into two branches but the two branches have different coloured flowers!

Isn't it lovely? Now that we are done, time to move off to Prince Bay Garden! Yipee!
