This year I guess to me is a special year.
I always thought that I only need to be responsible for my son till he turns 12.. now he is 12, he can start to learn to be responsible for himself!:)
Another special thing is the number 12 is special because it signifies and end of the first cycle of your life. And there are lots of big lessons you can learn from this year or conclude in this year which I feel will impact a child's life into the future. I am working hard to ensure that he will see and learn from me... how to be a better person, a happier person who loves himself and herself and how to be a humane person that helps others.
Anyway, his birthday celebration is kept simple and minimal. For me, June has always been a month of blessings. It is the month I got attached to Max. It is the month we got married. It is also the month our son is born.
This year, due to some personal challenges at the backend for me, I am really glad that that there is the reminder of Ace's birth that I can be thankful for and that there are things worth celebrating still. :) He is the gift from heaven that I will always treasure.
Anyway, his birthday celebration started one week early with Annie godma bringing him out for a Jap lunch:)
He and his stash of comics Godma Annie bought for him:) Haha..
Then of course must celebrate with family mah...
Went to Popo house to celebrate...
Then we went to celebrate with a jap buffet:)
There was also a celebration in Nainai house..
He gave me the ang pows for safe keeping but kept part of the money in them.
NExt two weeks his tuition teacher told me he diam diam buy unhealthy sweet foods to eat at tuition. He said he used the ang pow money gong gong gave him for birthday because Gonggong passe dhim the ang pow with the "instruction" "哪去买东西吃“... LOL
Ganma Karen treated him to a jap dinner and Godpa ZG brought him to KIno to choose some stuff. He bought some outline pens, a new sketch book, an anime book and a book that taught him how to draw anime as well.
What an abundant birthday! May Ace continue to grow and shine in the coming years!
