It's Very Emotional!

Ace came home from school today with a big bandage on his knee.

I asked him what happened and he said he fell when he was playing tag with his friends cos he was running faster than Usain Bolt (the world's fastest runner).

"And then as I was running, F can to tap me.. but he shouldnt have been tapping me in the first place because I was running faster than Usain Bolt... and then as he tagged me, I closed my eyes... F told me that I tripped over something and then I fell down on the concrete pavement and even hurt my arm... it was sooooooooooo painful... before I know it, my friends started to gather around me... F said they should send me to the nurse and C said they should tell the teacher first... and then they started to quarrel over me..."

"I don't want to see them quarrel because they are such good friends and so I told them 'It's ok, I will go by myself..' and I tried to stand up and walk.. and as I walked I started crying..."

I was expecting that he was going to say he is crying from the pain... but instead.. Ace said, "...I started crying because  I felt so loved by my friends and that my friends care for me so much.."

I gave Ace a question mark look with half a smile on my face.. cos I was thinking... "Huh.. like that ALSO can cry ah..."

"What?!" retorted Ace indignantly. "It was so emotional you know..."

So I gave him a hug lor..

Anyway, he says that his friends were super nice to him the rest of the day. Someone (he dunno who) helped him pack his bag, someone helped him pack his work. In short, he was treated like royalty for the rest of the day. One of his friends remarked that it must be so good to be injured... and that he wished he was injured so everyone treats him this nice...

Ace says though, that he wish this never happened because it is painful and quite a pain in the ass to bath and zzz at night with this wound...

Anyway, I hope this experience helps Ace understand also why he should always help and treat people nice especially when they are down and out because one good turn deserves another and it really makes the person feel very good lor:)

PS: On a side note, Mr Very Emo also has been "almost going to cry" since our trip back from Singapore. Cannot mention any of our family members in Singapore or anything remotely related.. "Can you stop saying that, I am going to cry already..." he will ask with his lips trembling. And then the other day when we were doing lou hei, the sight of it reminded him of the family so much that he broke down and cried...

Never met a more emo little boy lor! wahahaha.. no wonder I was an emotional wreck in the first two months of pregnancy when I was not yet aware that I was pregnant! wahahahaha..

New Songs For Guitar!

I haven't been helping Ace much with his guitar practice lately. Just basically left him to it.

Was in a good mood yesterday and asked him what he was supposed to be practising for his guitar. He said he needed to practice two songs and he wasnt quite familiar with them yet and hasn't quite got the hang of it yet.

So leh, I helped to guide him abit lor. Heng I can read dao geh and know little bit about music.. and also heng, I already practiced these songs that he is learning by myself when I was free the other time:) wahahaha...

Today he came home from school and told me that his teacher says he has mastered the two songs and that he can move on to the next song in the book.

I felt so happy to hear that and we high fived and hugged! Hahahaha.. Even I felt a sense of an accomplishment!

"And we only practiced for two days!" Ace beamed. I told him there is a difference if we practice properly and anyhow practice mah... Perfect practice makes perfect result.. :) Ahem..

One day, Ace took out the stickers tat shu shu gave him.. (Shu shu works for SUPER COFFEE and gave him some stickers with their brand logo)

Then he pasted on his forehead.. and posed for me.. asked me to take photo.. and even declared taht

Dinner In Popo House

Last trip back, it was a mad rush at the end and I did not get to have a dinner or celebrate my birthday with my family... So this trip, I decided do or die must have dinner with them.. and also to make up for the reunion dinner...

We fixed a day where everyone can make it and I think it is a nice reunion.. cos Zeng Popo usually doesnt join in as she will eat with her former employers who also treat her like family.. but this time she does :P

My mum suggested go out and eat but we think think.. do steamboat is better:)

Anyway, we also had a very sumptous supper with yeye and nai nai cos Yeye tio toto again. He always dio toto when Ace goes back to sgp.. so we say Ace is his lucky boy:) wahahahaha... But in that case, was too bz eating so we din take photos:) haha..

Sigh.. if only can eat together weekly like we used to when we were in singapore...

We Were On TV!

I havent had a chance to feature this or talk about this.. Cos I was so bz catching up on blogging about our life in dubai:)

Well, on our last trip home, we went to Haw Par Villa and were filmed and given like 1 minute of fame...

Ace was so excited that he was going to be on TV and going to be FAMOUS!:) wahahaha...

When the episode was aired, I was in Dubai and many of my kind friends actually helped me record and load it online so that I can view it.

The producer also very kindly gave me a DVD of our shot...

And so, here it is, our one minute of fame:)

Woke bright and early to breakfast..

And then off to the pool we go!!!

Was quite crazy cos we were at the pool one hour plus at the hottest time of the day..  After we went back to Dubai.. Now that we are back in Dubai.. me and Max are peeling from sunburnt lor:) wahahahaha

After tat.. go back to room to relac a little bit...

Then leh, we made our way home... took this cab by this uncle who was driving real scary. Dunno how Max and Ace managed to sleep on the way home.. wahahahaha

In the evening, since we had time, we had to do our trip ritual... every trip back.. we always visit waraku.. ALWAYS.. hahaha

After tat went to walk walk and saw these kickass red underwear... very CNY!:) wahahahah.. I wonder wear liao will win 4D or not... hahaha...

After breakfast, I went back to the room to zzz and watch korean cartoon.. hahaha :) Max went to fetch Ace from Nainai's house..

Once Ace was here, we decided to go for a dip in the pool!

They have these really large cushion floats and Ace was so happy to float on it and play on it...

They had these lovely heart shaped floats in the pool and I thought it is quite ap that we take a photo with them on our 10th wedding anniversary!:)

Once in the room, Ace just wanted to play with his ipad again!?:P wah lau.. we told him we have to go and eat lunch lah.. cannot ipad all the time...

So we went back to RWS cos we remembered there is a Malaysian Food Street... woo hoo!

Sadly, for Ace.. only thing he wanted to eat is prata and they forgot to put egg into his prata..

Max had fried kway tiao (with the prawns donated to me.. hehehe)... reminded me of the fried kway tiao in Arthur's house:)

Then we walk walk abit.. and decided to go try this special ice cream...

Lab ice cream wor.. never try before.. so try lor...

Apparently, you order the flavour tat you want... and they will pour in this bottle of preprepared juice or flavour or something..

Then they add in liquid nitrogen...

And the mixer will churn and churn...with lots of smoke coming out...

And the ice cream is done!:)

After that I suggested going to the boat area near the hotel to take a walk... Ace was upset cos he wanted to go to this playground where you had to pay money. Firstly it was near closing hours and secondly,

Saw someone taking wedding photos on board on of the boats..

Had to take this photo... cos that is like a special "code" between me and Max:) wahahaha... When we emailed each other, we always sign off with "kith kith" which means kiss kiss.. hahaha

Chua Junior still throwing tantrum so Chua Senior gave him a prep talk...

As we were walking.. we found a playground! And it is FREE TOO! wahahaha.. so finally Ace happy lor:)

Then we walked back again to take a rest before heading out for dinner

Wonder wat this plant is...

Saw this and it looked promising.. so we decided we will come back later for dinner...

I decided to take the lift and initially wondering why the stool inside the lift so dirty and no one clean it.. till i went closer and realized that the white patches are actually part of a picture.. wahhaah

I like the pictures they put on the wall.. maybe we can do that for our new house :)

After the kickass pasta in Joel Reubuchon, this one is not so great.. I think the pasta I make is better!:) wahahaha... Somemore is quite ex lor.. I really wonder why it is crowded..

Ace did the tobasco challenge to see if he can tahan tobasco in his pizza...

can eat but need to drink alot of water;) wahaha

Ace says want to do bath.. and after the water bath is set up in our room.. even though Max already in the tub, Ace still sitting outside cos his feels the water is too hot...

I had a picture of him sitting outside.. I asked him to cover up.. and he went to put bubbles on his "peanut" and so the picture cannot be posted.. cos it still looks quite RA.. wahahaha:)

And then we went on to watch our favorite korean shows till we zzzz :) wahahaha..
