Cayden's Birthday

Lucky Ace!

November is Cayden's birthday and as a result, he got to tag along and have lots of fun like he is celebrating his own birthday like tat lor:)

First we had a mni celebration in Popo house and Cayden say wanna cut cake holding gor gor's hands.... Hahahahaha... Buay tahan this two... just now quarrel and black face and suddenly want to hole hands cut cake..

I asked Cay how old he is.. hahahha:)

Popo made ai xin jelly but Cayden did not quite appreciate sticky foods:)

Finally his wish came true! We bought him a Nerf gun so he can play with Ace. After alot of research.. we decided to get this cos most pple say this is easiest to cork...

Ace was te one who decorated this box and wrapped the present up :)

But Cay still prefers to have Yeezhang as his back up:) hahahaha... He is very cute.. he will scream and run around but does not dare to move forward to attack unless Max i behind him:)

Then on the actual day of his birthday, which also happened to be the last day of school for Ace, I asked Ace to take a bus to Popo's house after school so he can attend Cay's school party...

After that leh, Ah Yee brought Ace and Cay to an indoor playground to have some fun and then even brought him to eat dinner before bringing him home..

But leh... when Ace came home.. he complained his hand pani. cos hor, before he even went to the playground, he ran around like an Ah Xiao and fell down and hurt his hand. Ah Yee was quite worried and messaged me that Ace said his hand is painful. I told her if he can still play and still smile.. then it should be no problem.. he is toufu skin one.. little bit also say very pain... so need to observe his other behavior... he is really in pain if he cannot smile or play :) hahaha

The next day, as I was at work shop and Max had to go to work, we left Ace in Popo's house again.. so Ace got to tag along when Ah Yee and Nett Nett brought Cay to Kids STop.

I never thought of bringing Ace there before as the website says it is for kids till 8 years old. But hor, Ah Yee said Ace enjoyed himself tremendously even though he looked out of place given his height... Our conclusion is that Ace has a gift of childhood innocence.. that is why he can play with all ages and can be happy playing with anyone anywhere!:) hahahaha

This is where the two cousins spent the most time... it is just so much fun to be a archeologist I guess cos I wanted to be an archeologist when I was growing up:)

Ah Yee said there was this segment where you got to pretend you either buying things or being a cashier in a supermarket.. Cay said he wanted to be a cashier and so he queued up.... when it was his turn, Ace enthusiastically pretended to buy ALOT of things as customer for him to scan!:)

We are wondering Ace will continue to play with Cay till wat age leh?:P

When I Play I Get More Energy

Together with our Lions Club of Singapore Arcadia, my good friend, Veron and her working partners organized a 3 hour charity talk by one of my favorite teachers, Uncle Chuck!:) hahaha...

The title of the talk was What  Happy People Know.. and since this is such a rare chance for Ace to learn more POV principals, I brought him along.

Aunty KP also brought LL along but I told Ace.. no playing with LL and he has to listen to what Uncle Chuck says..

I know though that 3 hours is a long time for a child and din have high hopes that he will really pay attention throughout.

So because I had to pass tickets to people and help out here and there, I was seated very far away from Ace and Max was seated in first row since he was rep from the Lions Club. So Ace sat with LL... from far, I noticed he kept looking down and I guessed he must be looking at his phone!

After the talk, I asked him wat he has learnt from this talk.. to my surprise.. Ace said, "I learnt how to be happy and to appreciate what I have!" Hahahaha..

The real surprise happened the next day when we were going to school.

The talk ended real late and so he went to bed 3 hours later than his usual bed time. I told him that after school, he will be going to Cayden's BD party and Ah Yee will bring him out whole day.. so he will be tired.. so I reminded him not to get over excited and finish using all his energy one shot.. to which he said to me, "But Mummy, won't one lah.. Uncle Chuck said.. When you play, you get more energy...Remember?"

Hahahahaha.. and so I concluded that he was indeed listening to Uncle Chuck:) hahahahaha..

Can't wait for Ace to be old enough to attend Uncle Chuck's POV workshops.. but dunno whether he will cry and say I broke his heart or not:) hahahahahaha...

Lucky Ace

And so, we visited our new favorite hang out... OBAR Punggol.... as a celebration since Ace just completed his exams ;)

Ace got some money to play in the arcade outside OBAR and asked if I will like to go play with him.. so I entertain him and went to play a few games with him....

We tried to have a daytona contest but both of us sucked at driving... hahahahhaa

Then Ace went to this soft toy machine.. I dunno why he is so fascinated by this sort of machine.. I always tell him these are lucky draw machines and the rate of winning is really low lor... so dun need to waste money on them.. even sent him a link to an article tat explains how these machine works to support wat I say but he is just strangely fascinated still...

We tried another racing car game... did better but still generaly sucked at the game:) hahahaha

Then we played table soccer and I won!:) hahaha

As you can tell, we are not very good at shooting baskets since this is our combined score:)

Then we did another shooting game and I accidentally got killed off... leaving Ace to kill the enemy on his own...

Then we tried a DRUM game...

Ace found one token but most games needed two except this one... and then of all the sides, he chose one side tat was out of order so he lost the token he found and won nothing..

I was thinking. "Heng ah.. if not will have more rubbish sweet to eat..."

Then I went back to sit down and listen to music and Ace bugged his dad for more rounds at the arcade... and Max passed him some money and he went back out...

After a while, he was so excited cos he won a PEAR SOFT TOY at that machine I asked him not to waste money on! Hahahahahaha....

Cos he was so inspired after winning something.. he tried again and won a green apple soft toy next!

" I am so lucky! I am so lucky!" He kept repeating to me.. I am glad he has a positive mindset and thinks of himself as lucky lah:)

He finished spending all his arcade money liao nothing to do right.. so he started playing with the ice in the ice bucket ...

Needless to say, Daddy is the winner lah:)

RIP Xiao Yuan

Very sad... Xiao Yuan died...

I was out at my mum's place the whole day since it was Sunday and when I reached home, I realized the watr is super murky and wondered why.. when I took a closer look, I realized Xiao Yuan has died.. I was thinking that he was swimming a little funny when I looked at them swimming around on Saturday and was half expecting this...

Max sad he already noticed that he died in the afternoon when he returned from soccer but din have time to change the water... Cannot imagine that by the time we reached home, he is only left with bones and his head. His good friend Xiao Yang actually ate him!?

I never knew animals were so cruel..

But maybe cos goldfishes dun have much memory so Xiao Yang did not remember they were friends..

With a heavy heart, I changed the water and removed Xiao Yuan's body and sent blessings that will send him his way. May he either return home or return here as a higher level life form since he made good karma bringing us joy to our lives.

Strange thing was.. despite his so called bad memory, I think Xiao Yang does miss his friend. In the past, the two fishes were perpetually happily swimming around... they seldom rested or slept.. now that Xiao Yuan has left, Xiao Yang is often lethargic and "sleeping" at the bottom of the tank... He used to always be excited about exploring things and about life!

Loneliness can make one really depressed I guess.

I certainly miss watching Xiao Yuan swimming around happily.... :(
