Some time back, Max talked to Ace about earning his own money so that he can buy whatever he wants.
When we were in Singapore, Ace had a huge selection of toys that he wanted but only a limited budget.. so Max talked to him about thinking about starting his own business..
After thinking.. Ace decided he is going to use paper to make things and sell. He came up with the idea himself and did his own research on his internet..
One day, while both me and Max were out, Zeng Popo gave him some boxes and cardboard and then he spent the whole day snipping and taping... And these are his very first pieces of artwork...
He designed and made this plane by himself. Notice the toothpick in the middle? It is done this way because the propeller can move one okie!
He made his first paper gun.
This is also his own invention called KNIFE IN THE WALL.. hahaha
This one I think he found some instructions online and did it according to the instructions:) Not bad..
I am quite imporessed with this one.. he made it using an online model and added the missles at the top himself so that his plane is "special"..
And so he started his journey of thinking about making his own money. Either from selling these pieces or by offering a pre-cut set that people can put together by themselves.
Would you buy any of these recycled displays?:P
Updates in Oct 2013:
Anyway, he has gone on to make weapons, guns that can shoot etc etc etc using just paper. In fact, the neighbours have now started a weekly saturday class where Ace will teach the other kids how to make paper weapons:) But free lah..
He is now collecting tin cans to make aeroplanes...
