Do What Is Right, Not What Is Easy

We had  a compliance training at work today and learnt a valuable lesson...

Meeting With Evon Ganma And Kev Gandie

 Always thankful that during this difficult time, lots of friends come meet up with us and care for us.

Met up with Ace's godma Evon and gandie Kev and he was pretty pleased to see them:)

Godma bought Ace some chocolates and Ace ate them and finished them on the spot:) hahahaha

 As usual, the boys sat down to talk.. wet to walk around the mall... while we girls stayed behind to yak:)

 Ace was so hungry that though he had already eaten, he asked to eat MORE FOOD and so we ordered some pancakes for him..

 So happy lah:)

Ace had so mch fun that he actually fell asleep on the bus on the way home:) hahaha..

Looking forward to the next meeting:)

Meet The Parents At BVSS

Went for the meet the parents at Ace's school.

Among all the MTP I have been to, I must say this is the one I was least impressed with though they provided me with dinner;) hahaha..  Mmm... I guess I was looking for the more holistic and human touch like in Horizon and YNPS... But this is just a typical Singaporean school..

When I arrived though, Ace's teacher stopped me...

She asked to speak to me and asked how are things at home. Apparently, Ace told his teachers about our divorce. But that itself wouldnt warrant a one on one talk since divorce is common these days (he told me later that 60% of his frens are from divorced families)

THe teacher wanted to talk to me cos during one of the truth or dare game where you have to make three statements and people had to guess which is true, Ace made the statement that he once tried to commit suicide by jumping down from the school building...  She needed to verify if it was true and also wanted to know if it is ok to send counsellor to talk to Ace.

I was more than happy there are more pple to talk to Ace as I know he is now of the age where he may not tell me everything anymore though our bond is still there.

But knowing Ace, I think there is some reason that he made this move lah.. so I asked him after if he really needed the whole world to know he tried to commit suicide.. and he innocently explained to me.. that he was only trying to win the game.. cos this sort of statement will sound like it is totally untrue and he can win because it is true.. so he used this statement cos it gave him the highest chance for winning..

faintz! hahahahaha

But well, I guess good also cos his teachers will keep an extra eye on him after this.. and as for Ace, he is just happy to miss lessons once  a month and get milo treats from the school counsellor:) hahahaha.

I always make it a point to spend some time with Ace ... go somewhere nice or eat something new. Probably cos my language of love is quality time;) hahaha

I heard from my colleagues that the lychee ice cream from Mc Donalds is good.. so I jio Ace to eat wtih me.. 

And he LOVES IT! hahahaa..

AFterwards, he went to jio his classmates to eat also.. hahhaah..

How To Make Money

 I have been thinking about making more money.

I don't have much savings cos I have always relied on the other half to feed me and even when I made money from freelance work, I spent them on the things I liked and wanted and never asked him for more money to do so...

I dun want to stress Ace when he has his own family so I think I should start making more money so that I can have a nest to feed me when I am old... Since I start saving till so old.. i better make MORE.

A friend of our offered to teach us options trading and we decided to meet up weekly for lessons..

 Our class:) haha

But I am ashamed to say... now as I write this a year later, I am not much richer than I was a year before cos I havent started trading. I got caught up in the buzyness of shifting and moving forward in life that I sort of stopped focusing on this.

But had a talk with Kerr the other day and put this back on my radar. Hopefully by the same time next year, I would have started making some small investments and earning some small money:)

Ace Bought His First Shirt

OMG, I am so behind time.... I am one year behind my blog so I better post as many things as I can while I still have energy today.

Anyway, this is a meaningful post because this is the first shirt my son bought for himself. He had some spare cash, saw this at a shop, said it was cheap (cos it was on sale at $18 and original price was like $50 or something) and bought it for himself as CNY outfit:) hahaha

My son has indeed grown up.

Over time, in the last one year, he has become very reliable patron of this shop i think with his room filled with what I deem useless but what he thinks are collection type of stuff;) hahahaha..

Oh well....

Charity Event 2018

 In my study of psychology... I have always read that in times of pain, one easy way out is to give yourself and extend yourself to help other people.

And I am thankful that during this really trying period, I was given this chance to do so as a host of a small charity dinner for some seniors with Lions Befrienders;)

 So much fun to hang out with these guys..

 Took part in make up contest... and this uncle's make up was done by me... korean style.. swee boh:) hahaha

This is very fun.. hope we have a chance to do it again:)

Ace's First Day Of School At BVSS

Someone's first day of school..

His dad woke 7 early 8 early to send him to school.

Can tell he put on weight siah:) hahahaha... tummy so big!

Very happy to hear when he came home that he really enjoyed himself. Met some quirky mates in his class that in Ace's words, "Share the same sense of humour as me.." Seems like most are anime crazy like him...

I can tell he will like this class:)

Most amazing thing... his class monitor is the son of my classmate in JC:) hahaha.. and she found out about Ace because his son came home one day after school and told her that there is one boy in his class who was very good at playing MURDERER... hahaha... called Ace.. she was like "OMG, my fren's son also called Ace .. so she showed him the photo and he went, "That's him!"

Hahaha...

Ace's Student D Performance

Ace was invited to perform at the New Year Meeting this year.

I invite Max to go watch but he said he was not free so I went to watch alone.

Good to see that Ace is in a much better mood and I am really thankful that during this period, he had his good soka brother, Ernest and the elder brother who is strong in faith to keep him company and to encourage him.

Actually Ace also learnt the cup performance. Alas, it was too tough as he skipped too many practices so he became the back up performer:) hahaha
