Ace has a new toy.. which I think is very yucky...

But he loves it very much... I wonder to what extend can you squeeze without bursing the ball... LOL

My JCI bros came to visit and do house warming... we bought so much food man... and so much drinks.. we even round two in karaoke! hahahaha...

THey even gave me money to buy new tv box... BUT my tv went kaput... so in the end i used th emoney to buy a new TV...

 Even Mr Chow bin very give face.. come out and play Cards Against Humanity with them...

Elisa asked Ace why his room so many posters of anime girls wearing very little... he said, "Is normal mah... If it is anime men wearing very little.. then my mother will be very worried already..."

Hahahaha..

After that we went karaoke...

I brought back a mooncake box that has lights.. so nice and special lor...

Ace asked if I could give it to him so I said ok...

Next day, he dismantled everything and took out the lights and made them into lights for under his study table... LOL

Things are still tough for me sometimes... it can get overwhelmingly lonely sometimes... and I am always thankful that I have Ace beside me...

 Going out for a walk together, hanging out together.. his crazy antics never fail to make me laugh..

I remember that in the first month of Max asking for a divorce, I felt like my whole world was shattered. Everything I had built my life around was gone.. everything I cared about was gone.. it felt as if I had been living in vain...

But of course when the shock of it finally developed into some form of acceptance, i realized that I still had something to show for my years together with max.. and that will be Ace... he is ever so much a comfort to me. I dont know how I would have made it through without him.

Thank you Ace. I really love and appreciate having you around me. You are the best thing that ever happened to my life!

Meet The Teachers

Woke up dam early to go with Ace to see his teachers...

 Look at the I havent woken up yet face!

But boh pian cos i have to rush to work after...

It was a tough meeting cos Mr Chow Bin dam attitude in school... The teacher told me about a few things he did and I guess I am not very surprised that the class monitor suddenly became like problem kid... 

One of the issue is that Teacher wamts Ace to go to school at 7.20am for a reading program that they have in school to read. Ace insists on arriving at 7.30 am because he says that the school handbook states school starts at 7.30 so he is not late to arrive at that time.

Actually previously his teacher already called me about that and I had a chat with him.. and he tried to wake a little earlier and go earlier.. BUT... unfortunately on the second day that he tried to go early, he was still a little later than 7.20... so one of the teachers scolded him for always being late.. he got upset and decided he will just be late since being early also will kenna scolding.. SIgh..

ut I understand... it is transition period for him now..

From knowing we are going to get divorced.. till moving out and not able to see his dad... to not actually seeing his dad for a few months... Things are really tough for him but I am also struggling and i have my own emotional upheavals.. and i know any nagging that I do on him will only mean more black face and less communication..

So I just focused on getting my life on track and becoming better everyday..

I am very glad though that he has very good teachers lah. I can tell they really care for him. I just hope he will snap out of this soon...

The Dancing That Didn't Happen

 I had some vouchers to use and had arranged for a day out with J....

The plan was go to the voucher place to eat.. finish using the vouchers.. .and then go clubbing after...

 And becos the place was a bakery of sorts.. we bought alot of baked goods to eat... since they sold beer.. we figured we can get started with drinking a little..

BUTTTTTTT... mayne we are no longer the clubbing age... somehow along the way, we had a change of plan and instead, went to a pub in east coast to drink...

This is where I learnt that when you drink not so good whisky, you have to drink it with warm water so it doesnt taste so bad.. hahahaah..

It doesnt matter where we went though.. the most impt thing was that we had a good time :)

 my Thai colleague, S, brought this pig lard chilli.. น้ําพริกหมูกระจก,  which is dam nice siah...  eat anything throw abit in is also shiok.. Does anyone know where to buy this?

 Someone brought me to a pretty good thai restaurant near office and it was good....

 Also, a colleague made blue pea tea for all of us.. she says it will make us all pretty!)

Last but not least... my fav beef with my fav food kaki... lol..

Badminton And A Trip Down Memory Lane

 My colleagues at work know that I am very frree.... so they jio me to go play badminton together with them... they said that this week they are playing at Kim Seng CC... I thought it sounded familiar... and when I finally reached... I realied why... it is actually at the CC opossite the site where my grandma's house used to be...

Being in that area made me miss my ah ma very much...

 Anyway, it was a fun game and I was terrible at it... hahahaa..

After we went for a feast and undid all the good work we did for exercise.. hahaahah

After tat, ZW and HJ even sent me home... but truth to be told ,driving around the neighbourhood I felt nostalgic but also lost. The flat where my ah ma house used to be were already pulled down.. there is no point of reference anymore.. just a large empty plot and a hill behind.. on top of tat hill used to be flats as well where my laoma stayed .

I kept trying to look out for things that I remembered in my childhood to pinpoint me to exactly where I was.. but all i had were memories that just did not match the reality i see in front of me.
I felt a little sad...

I even went to google maps to try to figure out where i was...

But still thankful that my friends thought of the very bored and lonely me and included me in their actvities:)

Sis asked me to help out with taking care of her son as her husband was doing night shift and she has to handle her daughter as well..

Since I am free... I went to help to play, give spelling and read to my nephew...

I miss playing with Ace at that age..

I wish meimei grow up faster then we can all play together:)

Interim Judgement

So we are at the halfway mark...

Opened up the letterbox and recieved the letter for interim judgement... this means I am right smack inthe middle of procedures and in a few more months, we will officially not be a wedded couple.

And the irony is that today, when I was doing those boh liao tests, this came up...

It says.. "If you want real happiness, you need to learn two things. To appreciate when you have it and to let go when it is over..."

Many thanks to the universe for the reminder:)

I will go on and move towards my happiness.

 Ace saw this jap fried noodle instant noodles that he said he wanted to try so his dad bought it for him.. he says it is very nice.. but one instant noodle is $5!

But hor, I think it is also cos everything and anything with mayo is also nice one..

 The return... of the salty duck rice.. The best ever rice one can ever taste and eat... hahahaha.. with ACTUAL DUCK and duck sauce!

NO time to cook so just made mapo doufu noodles for ace.

I really wonder though that say if ace were to go overseas to live and miss home cooking.. which of my dishes will he really miss? LOL..
