Fruit Feast

One of Ace's favourite pastime is to gather round the dinner table at Nai Nai's house and eat the fruit platter that they bought to share...

I believe it to be one of Yeye and Nai Nai's fav pasttime too..,

The other day, Ace came home with two zespri kiwis as they had gone to his school to give a talk about the nutrition of the kiwi fruit... Immediately when he reached home though, he wanted to eat one...

The other one, however, he said he wanted to keep to have fruit party like in Yeye and Nai Nai's house (since we happen to have an assortment of fruits at home)


The next day, we decided to have a fruit party for breakfast and so daddy cut up all the diff fruits we had and put them together and we ate together..

Unfortunately for us, the mandarin oranges and the oranges were a tad too sour... the kiwi and mango was not too bad too... I do miss the honeydews, cherries, watermelon, rockmelons, guava and many other fruits that we can FREELY eat in Singapore too...

I dun eat ALOT of fruits but cannot survive without them.. here fruits are more of a luxury... so i try to ration them and buy only one type of fruit every week:) i try to buy different types so that at least we have variety:)

So far, other than the usual apples, oranges and bananas (which is a good breakfast for Ace), we have also bought mango, mandarin oranges, rambutans...

Anyway, the marketing effect that Zespri has is very powerful lor.. now whenever Ace sees kiwi fruit, he will say, "I want to eat the kiwi.. I like Zespri..." and insist that he wants to buy 3....

Why leh?

Because they also gave him a colouring contest to take part in and to take part you need THREE zespri stickers tat you can find on the kiwi fruit...

Last week we bought three kiwis at Ace's INSISTENCE but Ace has neither started colouring the paper, nor has be started eating the fruit... sigh.... waste my money....
