It is a carnival where the parents from different countries get together with people of their own countries and they will set up a stall that sells food or games from their country...
Last year, we gave it a miss because I didn't know what it was about. This year, Ace bugged us about going and curious about what it might be, I decided to go this year..
Too bad though, there just arent enough south east asians or singaporeans to start a SINGAPORE stall there...
The australia stall looked welcoming.. alas most of the food stuff are not vegeterian:)
Ace was given 50 aed and he is free to spend it anyhow he likes... As expected.. our son splurged it on LOTS OF GAMES and a can of soft drinks:) wahahahaha.. can play no need to eat one...
This one is his fav... you pay and you get three trys to hook a duck.. every duck you hook you get a champion medal and Ace was a sucker for tat lor!:)
In the school hall, there was even dance performances...
Saw this Jap family running a stall and I was thinking.. next year, maybe I will jio my Singaporean friends to all set up a stall together!:)
There was another game is just kick the ball into the goal.. but as there was a long queue and it was so warm, Ace gave up queuing after a little while:)
Ace paid one dirham also to guess how many sweets are there inside the bottle.. winner gets the whole bottle of sweets.. I was so glad that he did not win this bottle of sweets!
The only time he spent on food, he spent it on a packet of CANDY!
Guess what, we saw someone setting up a stall selling fish and chips on the spot.. they cook on the spot and serve little bit of fish with a dolop of cream and a wedge of lemon.. cute!
Fancy learning how to make PASTA at the Italy stall?
Scotland teaching people how to do their dance..
Even the head mistresss joined in!
Mr M the music teacher led in a DRUM PERFORMANCE!:)
Ace was so cute.. at the AFRICA stall, he saw tat rooster made of tin and he went up to ask the stall owner how much it cost and whether he could buy it because he said he is born in year of the rooster..
