Science Centre Trip 2

Saw this garden while walking to Mac Donalds...

After lunch, we were sufficiently full and trudged on for more adventures.... that's Ace pretending to be a pirate:)

Me as a phantom..

Me as a princess

Me as pirate

Ace as a cowboy!

We were told there is a fire show.. and so we walked there to see it.. everyone gathered very closely around this hexagonal panel.. and the moment the announcer said, "Please stand 1 meter away from the panel because it is dangerous..." My son walked like 5 meters away and REFUSED TO GO NEAR.. wah lau.. scaredy cat!!!

That is Ace hiding far far far far away....

And then they lit the fire...

See... ask him to pose for photo he also buay kamwan...

Then they say we can go and touch the glass panel and take picture.. SOMEONE DIE DIE DUN DARE TO GO...

So i asked him to take photo for me lah..

When the fire ended... the smoke still swirling in a tornado...

Then we went to the candy exhibition..

Actually was kind of boring... this is some kettle people used to make chocolate in the old days...

This is how they grinded chocolate...

Anyway, the most fun display is this one.. it is a tongue and many teeth around it.. when you jump on the diff colours, they represent the different senses tat will taste sweet, sour, bitter and salty..

Then went to this display is where you can to cycle to burn off sugar.. even though Ace is much younger than me.. he keeps burning off more sugar than i do!!! :(

Then there is this display where you collect  a sour lemon sweet and eat and watch how your expression changes...

After that, we hang around the sound exhibits to wait for the sound workshop... this is very intersting.. when you pluck the guitar strings and turn the wheel.. somehow u will be able to see the vibration of the strings...

I wonderful teachers at the sound workshop.. in case you are wondering what minions have to do with sound.. it is cos the teacher sucked helium from the balloon... and spoke like a minion afterwards...

It ended with this display... they lighted this machine.. that burns fire according to the sound it recieves.. low sound will have brighter flame... the top part is when it started.. bottom part is when they played the superman song..

THis one is when they tried ot make a low, loud noise...

We din have much time left... but decided to explore level 2 of the science centre anyway.. turns out that it is actually very interesting! too bad we dun have much time and din manage to look through all the exhibits...

Time to go for our Omni Theatre show!

Brought Ace to watch a show in the Omni Theatre and I told him it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen... the first time I watched it when I was 10 years old.

Our good friend walked in, saw the theatre and asked..."what is the big deal..."
Rolling credits start with just words rolling past... "WHat's the big deal..."
More words appear reminding you to switch off your phone... "Words very big only mah...

"WHat is the big..." At this moment, the screen comes alive with amazing clarity and colours and Ace goes... "WOW... this IS a big deal!!! Awesome!!!

I am glad we chose the panda show cos the pandas look so life-like and so cute on screen!

After the show finish, science centre is closed.. so we quickly walk through the last few exhibits...

Ace insisted on walking around the grounds at the centre and taking more pics before leaving..

And that was the end of our wonderful adventure..

I noticed Ace doesnt really appreciate or understand most things.. I hope next year, he will be able to appreciate the science centre more..
