Shu Shu Wedding In Vietnam (Part 1)

Shushu had his ROM done last year...

This year. him and shen shen will be holding their traditional wedding ceremony. I told Ace he has to go with nice teeth and so, brought him to the dentist to get his teeth cleaned.. and mine too :) But hor, end up they discovered something wrong with my teeth and I had to remove my wisdom tooth.

Ace has done well this time though...

No need for extra persuasion...
No need to explain to him what tools are for what...
No more stupid questions for the dentist...
No more need to hold hands...

FINALLY!:)

Once we are all prepared, we are ready to fly off to Vietnam for Shushu's wedding!:)

We arrived in the afternoon and after a short rest, Shen Shen's dad says he will give us a treat at his favourite restaurant. It serves very authentic Vietnamese food. So yummy!:)

Like we have restaurants that can wrap our own popiah.. this one can wrap the vietnamese rice cake with things that are so yummy:)

Can wrap veggies with deep fried veggie cake.. I think maybe we can eat this for dinner sometimes at home:)

And there is this thing tat tastes really yummy.. like wah kuay... a little bit like our chwee kuey... but they also got dried shrimp inside and the shrimp actually tastes sweet..

As the next day is Max's birthday, they even thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake for Max:)

We went back to our hotel and beside it there was a shop tat sold helmets..

Here, we discovered that the shops here are very strange one.. in sgp.. you can ask them totake and try and see and look and if you dun like and dun buy, is ok one :)

But here in Vietnam, the moment you ask price.. they give you a price and you never reject, then you cannot see and look.. if you do they become unhappy.. so tip for people travelling to vietnam.. dun ask price UNLESS you are sure you want to buy :)

Anyway, I think Ace looks like terminator in this helmet.. hahahaha

At the end of the day, Ace was totally shagged out..

BUT still he kept wanting to watch TV... Cartoon network lah.. National Geographic lah... watch and watch and watch.. till so late at night then zzzz...

Next day we woke quite late then go eat breakfast.. hahaa

After breakfast, we went shopping near the nearby Bahn Thanh Market...

But hor, I find the place boring.. they sell the same things all the different stalls.. so nothing much for me to buy.. also, it is mostly just tourist stuff..

But going shopping with Yeye and Nainai really made me think that our parents are really much older as compared to the past. Yeye had such a hard time shopping because his legs. After walking every 10 steps, he will need to rest because his legs pain... But still he was excited to go shopping. Looking at how well Nainai took care of Yeye, I also really understand why the two of them are still so lovey dovey after being married for so many years:)

After walking around, we decided to go look for food.. again, we ended in a vietnamese place. This time round, we any howly order and ordered tonnes of strange stuff.. hahahaha...

My order turned out to be some sort of soup...

Yeye's order turned out to be a cold dish wor..

The surprising thing is they have vegeterian fod!:) wahahaha.. with RICE.. and Yeye was missing rice and so he ordered another plate of rice:)

After that leh, we went back to the hotel and Max brought his parents out massaging while i stayed in the room to sleep.



After waking up hor, feel very hungry leh.. cos it has been a few hours liao. But Max is not back yet as it was raining..

Then we heard a knock on the door and surprise!

The hotel found out it is Max's birthday and sent him a cake..

Dun ask me why it is xmas themed though.. hahahaha

Got birthday card too:)

And then, we waited and waited..

The longer we waited, the hungrier we felt..

But it was still raining and Max says he is stuck at a cafe.. having food and drinks..

And me and Ace came to a unanimous decision to eat the cake! wahahaha.. Cos i know if we save for Max, he will surely say.."Eat lah.. why you all so silly dun eat the cake and stay hungry?"

In the end, after we ate the cake, Max returned.. cos he finally realized the cafe sold raincoats:) hahahaha

By night time, everyone was tired and as it was raining, we decided to eat within the hotel.. since there is a french restaurant, we go and try lah...

Pasta...

Risotto...

Vegetable Tempura..

And I had confitte.. was so so only.. but very ex..

And then, time to have a good rest because the next day is the wedding ceremony!:)
