Star Wars Day!

Yes I know the official Star Wars Day is already over.. And over for long time liao..

But that was how I will describe that day as we spent lots of time doing Star Wars things...

It all started with a whatsapp message that Aunty KP sent me.. she told me that there is some sort of lego giveaway in Vivo City's Star Wars Lego Exhibition and so we tried to make a trip there the other day.

Alas, when we arrived, we found out that you needed an instagram account and also needed to be the first 50 families of the day to get it. I asked them how long will 50 sets usually last and the girl told me they start at 10am and usually finish giving out by around 12 noon...

Ace was so disappointed and after that, when I asked if he wanted to take any pictures he was like NO NO NO NO NO and went straight into grumpy mood...

As I saw a nice pants I liked when I visited the other day, I told him I dun mind bringing him there another day in the morning... we will hitch a ride from his dad when he goes to office and then go home ourselves and so we made a plan to go there on a weekday...


And we finally arrived only to find tat there is a REDEEMED sign on the poster... but I am not one to give up easily and so I approached the staff and she said today's redemption has yet to start.

I thought since tat is the case.. while we wait, we can take the picture and upload it first lah:)

And that picture was my virgin instagram post:) hahahahaha....

As the jie jie says she needed to search for the person in charge, we just walk around and pose for some pictures lah.. anyway, not much people mah.. can take nicer photos:)

Tadah! He finally got it.. the free star wars spaceship set!

And after that, he is super good mood liao.. and then he is happy to take photo with EVERYTHING!

Which is why we have the following series of photos afterwards....

I asked him why he give this kind of face.. he says cos these are 坏人so he is giving them attitude... Guess he is a RESISTANCE at heart...

Ace says his fav star wars character is BB8 and Bubba Fett... Cos one is cute and the other is COOL:)

And since there is nothing much to do, I wandered around the exhibition and took more photos of the Lego displays they have...

OMG! The Lego BB8 is so cute!:)

And then I told him I wanna go shopping..

I went to try the pants I saw and liked alas.. it looked very diffierent on the model and on me lor.. so sad.. and then I walked past Desigual and decided to go check out the sale..

Saw a top that I liked and when I tried it and showed Ace.. he said "Mummy, buy buy.. I already give you thumbs up.. buy lah."

Hahahahaha..

And then I said I will buy and he offered to pay $2 out of the whole price cos he says that will be my xmas present..

I hesitated for a while and so he added.. "Take lah mummy, just take lah.. it is my present to you..." And after thinking through I decided to accept gracefully and thank him for it.. hahaha... But then I cannot help but tease him...

"But you brought $52 today.. only paying $2?" I asked him..

"Aiyoh mummy, it is the thought that counts..." he replied.. hahahahahahhaa:)

There was free video game and since queue was short, Ace went to try...

And then we saw this poster and realized there is some app you can download.. and so we downloaded it..  It is quite fun.. there is a Selfie section that can do these...

Hahahaha.. so cute hor..

And then we went to jalan jalan again and saw these shoes... the lady says buy two got 20% discount... still thinking...

And walk and walk hor.. saw a Hoverboard.. and Ace finally got to try it!:)

He says he is going to save money to buy it...

While we were shopping.. we saw these two glasses and we both agreed they are very suitable for Max!:) hahahaha..

The one on the left has three levels of measurement... level one which is the lowest level says GOOD DAY... and the second level which is half a glass says BAD DAY... and the full glass level says DON'T ASK....

And then I told Ace I was feeling very tired and suggested that we go home and he said OK... and when we were trying to walk out to take bus.. it started RAINING...

So we hang around in the shelter and takesome wefies...

But the rain was very heavy.. so we went back into the mall...

I noticed there is some take photo with Hans Solo contest and so we did that to take part :)

We realized that the Star Wars APP has some sort of section for Augment Reality.. you point the app at the poster behind and you can pretend to take photo with your fav star wars character :)

THen we went to jalan jalan and Ace saw this BB8 Tshirt from Uniqlo that he liked and so I bought it for him. He saw a poster that said if you wear their star wars tshirt,  take a photo and have a caption with some hashtags on instagram, you can take part in a contest and win a Sphero BB8 and he was so excited to win! Cos it is something he wants and thinking about..

So I had this great idea tat maybe he can go take photo using the AR feature of the Star Wars App... and so we took the following pics....

Ace says his idea is something like he running with the BB8.. that is why these poses...

And cos we were taking photo.. the jie jie working there saw us do that and said if we already downloaded the app, we can get a present and gave Ace a Chupa Chups Star Wars special edition candy...

Then leh, we went to walk walk again..

Saw that there is a Timberland sale and went in.. as I shopped, our good friend entertained himself by buttoning and unbuttoning this jacket.. hahahaha

We also saw these star wars night lights:)

Ace says he wants to take picture with this knight as he is reminded of the TUDORS...

In our search for a toilet, came across a shop that sold these lovely looking shoes. too bad no have m size:)

When we walked past this, Ace asked me.. "Mummy, why hello kitty show middle finger huh?" And I told him I thought HK looked like she was digging her nose! hahahahahahahahah...

Walk until very tired liao.. saw someone selling the HK type of Ji Dan Zai... is those small round egg batter snack and I bought some. As I had some free ice cream to redeem, I redeemed a free ice cream and we found the Ji Dan Zai tastes heavenly with Mac Sundae!::)

Ace wanted to open his chuppa chups thig... he got a strawberry flavored one and a CPO3 Pencil topper which he loves:)

Then his dad knocked off mah.. so he came to fetch us lor..

In the morning in the car, we were still saying it is not possible for us to wait for him to knock off cos we dun have so much shopping stamina... we were wrong! hahahahahahah

After discussion, we decided to go La Forketta for fancy Italian food!:)

Ace's favorite dish in any italian restaurant.. buffalo cheese with tomatoes... I tell him next time he can eat that as a main dish lah:) hahahaa

The restaurant has a segment tat sells coconut drinks.. we were curious so I ordered coconut with LIME an Ace did Coconut with MANGO.. but is so so only lah... :)

And we were given free dessert but by then we also downed a chocolate cake with ice cream... so full!:)

When we reached home, we got a pleasant surprise when we  opened the letter box. Sometime back, alot of people posted on FB that their children had some sort of edusave award and I was wondering how come Ace did not get any...

TUrns out he did.. he got a good progress award and got award ceremony too:) Good job, Ace!

I reached home very tired liao.. but Ace still had energy to fix his spaceship..

Then Ace suggested that we take photos with his home made light sabre for the uniqlo contest...

And then I did my PS magic and this is what we sent in as contest entry... WISH US GOOD LUCK!!:)
