I have always said that my son is born to enjoy a luxurious life... he just enjoys looking at beautiful things and doing attas things like travelling around in cars. Since he was 2 years old and started to learn to talk... whenever we are taking public transport, he will either ask me why we are not taking taxi OR he would tell me he wants to take the "blue car"...
Now that we have sold the car, he has somewhat gotten a little more used to moving around in MRT and bus.. but when his dad was back for a holiday and we decided not to rent a car in the end, he kept asking why daddy din want to buy a car here or get a car here because he wanted to move around in the car and not take buses or MRT...
Anyway, the day we got back from China, we decided to bring Ace out... we took a cab to Zi Zai vegeterian restaurant for lunch first...
After lunch we decided to take a bus to Tampines to continue our adventure...
And once we are in Tampines, where do you think Ace will want to go??? TIMEZONE of cos! Hahahahahahaha....
And then we took the MRT home...
Ace was really happy to sit with the bus or the mrt with his dad as they were playing with each other and talking to each other throughout the journey. BUT, still he prefered the cab over the MRT and bus.
The turning point came when Aunty Mag invited us to her house for a simple dinner cos Max said he missed her cooking:)
Aunty Mag lives quite far away in a private housing estate... so when we found out tat it was difficult to hail cabs here and that there was a bus stop right outside with a direct bus back to bedok, we decided to take a bus home. Initially, Ace was quite upset that we were taking the bus.. he complained that it was noisy and whatsover and slowly, Max started to tickle him and play with him....
Fierst they played "JIU DIAN MAI JIU" game... and then they played imitation game where Ace tried to imitate his dad and pretend to dig is nose... cross his leg...
Ace was giggling throughout the whole journey...
And we ended the journey with an outing at Hollywood for dessert!
A few days later, when I was talking to Ace, I asked Ace if he remembered how much fun he had with his dad on the bus and he said he enjoyed himself very much. I told him that taking public transport is not that bad afterall.. because if daddy were to be driving, he wouldnt be able to play with Ace and if Ace tried to play with Max while he was driving, Ace usually would get scolded...
"Yeah, take bus is better!" Ace exclaimed...
Anyway, Max gave Ace the bus ticket he had when we took the bus ride home from Aunty Mag's house to let Ace keep as a souvenior.. some one week after Max went back to Dubai, Ace looked at the ticket, touched it, stroked it and stared at it and then he started to CRY!!!!!
Anyway, I hope Ace enjoys the bus rides while they last.. cos in Dubai, I predict we wun be taking any buses or mrts for a long time:) hahaha..
