Robotics Class

Now that he has an ambition to go study in SST... Ace has now started to develop an interest in robotics...

So I went online to try to find out more...

He had wanted to go to SG Code Campus to learn App Inventor... but leh, their class was full..

And I found someone recommending Lego Robotics Class at this place called Learning Avenue.... and they offered a trial class and so I decided to let him try and do a two day holiday workshop if he liked it...

THey were given one set and one computer each and then the teacher gave them some projects and tasks to complete... it is sort of a modulus system and it is through the tasks that he will learn the basics of robotics programming...

THe robot Ace made has a sensor and he is supposed to program it in such a way the robot moved in a certain path...

Trying to sort out the problems.... I think they learn problem solving because when they observe the mistakes the robot makes.. they can go back and tweak the programming till they get it right..

Here is another one of him with another one he made...

He seemed to enjoy himself very much. He said he is not keen to save money to buy the set so that he can make things on his own as well.
