Pro- Sushi At Uncle Ryo's

As a parent, you always have to be very careful what you promise your children and keep track of your promises.. if not, you will kenna "conned" just like Max:)

Just to tease him, for the longest time, no matter what request Ace has towards Max, he will always say, "Only if you pull out your shaky tooth..." because the tooth was shaking badly and Ace still refused to let us pull it out...

As a result of that, he sort of promised him a whole array of items if Ace were to finally pull out or drop his teeth.

It happened so that Ace got promoted to Beige level for reading in school and the last time when we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Ryo san's jap restaurant, Max told Ace that we were also celebrating his promotion to BLACK reading level....

So this time round, Ace asked if we could celebrate his promotion to beige level. But  a trip to the jap restaurant is something like 300-600aed.. so it is not something we would want to frequent so we tried to persuade Ace to downgrade his expectations a little bit... we said we will go to some other cheaper jap restaurant.. only to find that most of them charge almost the same prices but may not be able to make it.... and for the downright cheapo ones, they are more of a Fillipino's idea of a jap restaurant so the food and taste is not fantastic or authentic at all....

In the end, we thought, heck it, just go back to Ryo's lah.. cos really cannot find something decent lor... But Max says he will only bring Ace to the restaurant if he pulled out his teeth...

So the other day, Ace triumphantly came home and told me that that teeth dropped out while he was in school.. he said must quickly tell daddy and asked if I could whatsapp daddy and inform him...

He was so excited, he wanted to type the message all by himself...

Max was so impressed that Ace used "for the sake of" and asked him where he learnt it from.. turns out that he learnt from cartoon:)

So here we are again at SUSHI at Hyatt Hotel where Uncle Ryo works as head chef.

Yummy toufu salad... ooh, I just love the taste of all these fresh ingredients.. dam shiok to eat lots of green veg tat is super fresh instead of the sad looking ones we buy from the cheena or indian supermarts here...

Ace didn't want to eat it at all cos the last time the salad was slightly spicy.. by the time he tried and says he likes it, the salad almost all gone lor!:)

Next, roasted mushrooms... yummilicious.. I am looking forward to making this on our own when we have  a chance to buy both types of mushrooms... yums!:)

And vegetable tempura.. my fav is the sweet potato one.. sweet and tasty:)

That is Ace doing a "Oh, this is so hot"  expression...

And our sushi platter... loved the avocado and asparagus ones... and the julienned cucumber one also super tasty.. yums!:)

Since he is just about full, Ace started to ask for another rewad that his dad promised him if he got 15 housepoints in a week... he managed to surpass by getting 23 housepoints...

"I want my putty.." Ace said and his dad thought he meant he wanted him to hold a party of sorts for him...

Turns out that he actually meant "PUTTY".. it is some sort of silly putty toy tat his friends have and he has been bugging us to buy it for him for the longest time... Finally, daddy says we will try to look for it after the meal...

So this little boy very happy...

He say not enough inari.. uncle ryo give him added serving of inari and egg....

That is why leh, Ace says, "Uncle Ryo's sushi is the most pro in the whole or dubai and it is always yummy.. he never lets us down.." Wahahahaha... Are you reading this, Ryo??:P And it is true lor.. so far all the other sushi I have tried here is cannnot make it kind.. cannot even match sakae sushi standard.. bleah...

Dessert time!:) Somehow, Ace's chocolate scoop is extra big lor!:)

Family photo:) Someone told me I look very young with short hair:)

We asked Ace to help us take a photo:)

This is Ace's "Sibeh shiok" look...

The very lovely Ace wanted to thank Uncle Ryo and he drew a plate of sushi and wrote "Dear Uncle Ryo, I enjoyed the sushi very much. Thank you!"

We went to Dubai Mall after that to look for his putty and we saw these cute jackets.. if I did not already have a few jackets, I will so want the wonderwoman one lor:)

This is the thinking putty... it is some sort of strange substance tat "melts" into a lump tat looks liquid but is actually solid.. you can tear it.. roll it and do anything to it... but it will melt if you just leave it tat back into a lump... it is actually quite fun to play with..

But is quite ex.. almost $20 sing for a big box...  so we told him this is a big present and he will have to achieve some other targets we set before he can play with it even though we are going to buy it today.

Ace having fun with the mini guitar.. apparently, he thinks it is cool to learn to play guitar.. i also contemplating if I should try to learn to play the ukulele myself since i am so bored here..

Inspired and motivated, Ace has also started looking out for OTHER things he wants daddy to buy for him as reward.. wahahahahaha:) Asked me to take photo to show daddy later...

While my son read, i camwhore..

Then very tired liao so we all went home lor:) Ace said his dad also promised Garrett's pop corn if he pulled out his teeth but we reminded him that we already ate sushi and bought him the putty.. "One at a time, please..." daddy said.
