Lego Competition

We were tasked to buy presents because we were attending a birthday party with our friends and sharing the present... So we decided to go walk walk and see see look look lor..

Saw this in a toy store... hahahaha :) Dam ugly if you ask me... Ace asked me why they use the wrong word for "Horse" in Chinese. I had to explain to him this is fan ti zi.. not simplified chinese... so he went, "Oh, so this is complicated chinese..." Pengz... hahaha...

There was a lego competition and so we went and let Ace take part lor..

Since we very eng, went around to see see look look.. saw this RANGE ROVER SPORT.. wahahaha.. Max always says wanna buy Range Rover.. maybe I will buy this for him for his next birthday :) wahahahahahahaha

Ok maybe not... still 900+ sing lor

Oh well, doesnt hurt to look lor:) hahahhaa

And then the contest started..

Couldnt tell from far what he is building lor.. hahahhaa

Apparently, they had two contest.. one is in house.. and hte best creation will be selected to recieve a prize by the Lego Experts and the Staff...

For Ace, he did not win this one as I think they were looking out for NICE and not imagination. They were looking for people who built beautiful things (from what I see in the final results they posted) but Ace was more of building it according to how he wants to play ... hahaha... somemore his is more of like a "universe" rather than a thing... and you need explanation then understand one...

Well, he is actually building a POLICE STATION.. that is complete with office, jail, parking lot for police cars, interrogation room and even a CANING ROOM (See the guy on the top left with a long black stick? That is supposed to be a cane! wahahahaa... how very Singaporean!

Anyway, we also took part in the voting contest but i think we only accumulated 30+ votes.. the winners had like 80+ onwards votes.. so sorry Ace, Mummy dun have enough frens who saw the post:) wahahahhaa....

But he still won a cert for it lah:)

Ace wanted to take photo with his cert but kenna photo bombed by his dad...

Gosh, this old man just wun let up!

So we jit tao change angle so he cannot be in the photo.. hiaks:)


On a sort of related note, Ace came home that day with this thing.. he mad a bridge using paper, straws and pipecleaners. I am glad he remembers that I told him that triangles are the strongest shapes and that is why they are usually used in the building of bridges...

I think Ace was a little disappointed that he did not win anything given that he thinks of himself as a LEGO EXPERT... but I think in our hearts and in the hearts of his godmas and grandparents and aunties and uncles, he is STILL THE BEST:) wahahah
