Today is a special day because when we were on our way to dinner yesterday, Adam called and said Zain was going to invite us to his house for a Nasi Lemak party!
Ace wanted to play with his gun again when he woke up.. I quickly bathed and made up nicely to prepare for our day out...
Our meeting point was some sort of shopping mall... we found out that Max and Gan were dressed in the same colour in the same style.. hahahah.. and the children were happy to see each other again and started treating the mall like their playground.. they were the only noise contribution to the mall..hahahahahha
And then we reached their house and quickly gave the children food so that they can play afterward...
Tadah... our nasi lemak lunch! :) I love the chilli.. yummy! We brought along our own vegeterian burger patty and veg chicken nuggets.. hahahaha.. the califlower and brocolli was lovingly cooked by Aunty Hor cos she scared we have nothing to eat.. so sweet of her.... Rice, Chilly and egg by ROS;)
Then Bernice said she wanted to swim. Initially, Adam said the pool might be cold and did not allow it.. but children dun give up easily.. she kept asking and asking and in the end, the parents gave a go ahead.. and just when everyone happily changed and went into the pool.. my son wanted to POOP! Hahahaha...
Well, Ace is the only one who has had swimming lessons but he is the least garang.. Bernice and Ben who both have not done swimming lessons before but they are very garang and kept wanting to do things like jumping into the water, going into the far end deeper part of the pool...
So in the end, we decided we needed a life guard and so Max went into the pool to join them. When Max went to change, Ace was trying to climb out and he fell backwards into the baby pool... Aunty Hor gave a shot and Adam quickly walked over to ask if Ace is okay.. I amusingly observed that I was still seated in my seat because I saw Ace stand up and laugh... seems like other people more kan cheong about my son than me.. hahahahaha...
Anyway, as you can tell, they all had fun in the pool.. Max tried to teach Ben how to swim too:)
The thing about Zain's house is that it is near the airport.. so every now and then we would hear and see an airplane fly past.. and I found out that Emirates planes actually have their logo printed on their underside "tummy".. haha
The pool was quite cold so after 45 min or so, we asked the kids to come out of the pool.. and we got them to sun themselves for a while...
The kids found a table football sort of game and started playing with it...
Then they went back to the living room and because they were very cold, Aunty Ros gave them a blanket to keep warm but all they wanted to do was play with it..hahahaha...
And then it was ice cream time... over all, the kids had a great time swimming and playing while the adults had a great time sitting around and chatting with each other...
Since the day was still "young" when we left at 4pm or so.. we decided to go the the Mirdiff Mall nearby.. the newest and one of the biggest malls...
We found at cute KIDS ONLY entrance at ecco :)
The kids as usual could play anywhere.. they started walking in a line and walking and singing songs.. I strangely noticed that usually, Ace is a follower and a good follower.. his teachers say he always the second one to get into mischieve.. somehow.. maybe he sees how Max is the gin na tao and attempts to be like his father.. so when he interacts with bernice and ben, he is also many times the leader of the pack.. deciding what new games to play and wat silly things to do....
Then we saw this children's play place but it cost money to go in and cos even though it looked interesting, there were not many people inside so i figured probably either not very fun or not value for money.. we also saw some pple having flying lessons. There was like a burst of wind from the floor and they can fly in the air. So interesting.. but i dun dare to try .....
I also noticed that the arcacde is very strange.. everything in the arcade is WHITE.. seldom see an arcade so devoid of colours.... I wonder wat is their rational.. it appeals to be aesthetically of cos.. but how would tat be appealing to children?
And we went to this place which does everything soccer. They have all sorts of game related to soccer like the one that we saw.. pple kicking at these dummies and you have a time limit to finish kicking down all the dummies..
Then we saw this mini stadium where you can actually use figurines to kick a ball to play the match.. the interesting thing is tat the spectators of the match are all NUDE! So Strange...
I think you know this is not taken by me lah.. it is some liverpool player's signed jersey.. torres i think...
Then we walked around and saw this fake snow thing tat can be reused. U just add water to the snow powder abd it will become snow.. actually should be sold in sgp where there is NO snow right?:P
And I saw this pair of shoes with wings.. guess how much is it? 920 AED lor... that is like a few hundred sing lor.. siao boh.. I might as well cut out on cutboard and paste myself...
Then we went home for dinner lah.. Ace asked to eat worm noodles.. so I made the normalmee hon kway type of dough and made into long noodle like thing.. we used the miso paste we bought in carrefour the day before and found out we accidentally bought white miso paste.. wat a pleasant surprise cos the soup taste really nice! :) Max loved it too...
Max cooked fried capsicum and fried cabbage for me:)
Then my son wanted to play with his gun again.. that is is "I AM SO CRAZY.. I WANT MY MUMMY TO SHOOT ME" look... I told him if he bathed, I will play with him and shoot him with his gun.. and he giggled happily... really "sot" liao.. hahaha
After he bathed I asked if he wanted to blow dry his hair and I parted his hair and blow dry nicely for him... swee boh?:P
Then as per my promise,I started shooting at him lor.. and he was so happy he wanted to play again adn again and again....
So ended our happy day out.. tomm is sunday which means end of the wkend and it means going back to our mundane lives..... I wonder if pple heard of Sunday blues.. hahahahahahahahahaha...
