The night before, Adam and called and asked if Max wanted to play basketball in the morning. Given that wkends are sleep in days for Max and tat both me and Ace wake at around 11am in the morning now... my immediate reply was, "You can wake up on time meh?" So we told Ace that we will only go if he can wake up...
Well, I woke first at 10am and finally woke the both of them at 10.30am or so and while we were waiting for Adam to come down and go to the park together, Max remembered that Clari bought him a present and decided to put it onto his car...
Then the children started playing basketball with their dads.... Ace and Bernice who are younger basically sort of play RUGBY because they will carry the ball and run across the court instead of bouncing it across the court...
After a while, Ace started coughing and complaining that it is hot... so he stopped playing and wanted to play with his guns that he brought along... so the two adults finally got to shoot some hoops...
All throughout, I kept hearing sounds of a baby crying.. I suddenly realized when we were about to leave that that it really isnt crying children... they are two mating cats... Curious, I walked over to take a look.. and there they are.. not really into the act of mating yet but doing their mating call and mating dance.. the male cat (the fatter one tat is standing up) would give a cry.. the female will respond and it sounded like a (bug off) and then the male takes a step back... and then cries again.. the female gives softer reply.. and the male calls out again and takes one aggressive step forward...
But well, we din get to see the dance finish cos had to go up for lunch liao..
Ace had his lunch and then the children started playing card games...
Aunty Hor lovingly fried rice for us for lunch.. yipee! :)
Ace put on his glasses when they were playing with the gun saying "I look cool!" Hahahahaha
After lunch, Aunty Hor made Max a nice cup of kopi-O.. PENANG STYLE... Aw.. check out tat satisfied look! :)
After that, we went to MAX to see if we could do some shopping (there is a xmas gift exchange coming up) and because they were not opened yet, we waited for a while... and i noticed there are dried grass coming out from the sign and so I walked furthur away to take a look and found tat a little bird has made her home there... She sittting inside.. i wonder if there are eggs:)
Ace posing with this leather jacket which is too small for him but still looked quite good:)
Then at Adam's recommendation, we went to Homes R Us to look around at their sale.. we saw this nice policecar lamp... So we let Ace take a picture with it.. hee...
Next, we went to Daiso and saw these beautiful figurines.. Max says look like me.. so I take picture also lor.. hahahha...
And we saw these lovely teacup flower pots.. so tempted to buy one for my mother in law but not exactly keen at shipping it back home with a kid in tow.. hahahahah.. so I didnt:)
Outside the shopping mall there is a pasar malam of some sort and the things they sell are for all the local pple.. they sell toys, the local type of clothes, sunglasses, etc....we walked around a little and I din take pics because the women here are SENSITIVE about having their picture taken...
Across the road, we saw an animal stall being set up... adn went over.. we saw the most interesting stall.. but it was rather sad.. the man was selling all sorts of birds.. we saw geese, ducks, chickens, chicks, and all sorts of birds like canaries.. etc.... but they were all trapped in super duper small cages.. one of the duck is injured and the other ducks still continues to peck on his wound cos they are so tightly squeezed together.. even Ace felt sad to see that...
Max's fav bird from the lot...
So handsome right, these birds...
Then the man made a sale for a chicken.. he held the chicken upside down and tied his legs up with masking tape, put the chicken into a box and tat was it!
Then we passed by some pple playing cricket and Max said they are pakistani because they are playing cricket in the typical type of clothes that pakistanis wear...
While driving, Max suddenly decided to drive to Marzam beach to take a look and we found the MOST BEAUTIFUL beach! And we could still see the MOON high up i the sky.. pretty, right?
That is like a picture of the whole beach.. I tried to make it into some sort of panoramic view by taking three pics and sticking them together.. wasnt the best effort but you get an idea of how the beach looks like...
On the oppossite side, there were also many families having picnics and also alot of people jet skiing..
Ace said he wanted to pick seashells and so we left our shoes in a corner and went to the seaside to pick seashells
That's me squinnting cos the sun was in my eyes...
The water here is so clear I could see my feet.. when walking along the shores of the beach, I actually saw FISHES.. alas, the camera was with Max and I couldnt take pics of the fishes... we also picked up a shell and then found something living inside and threw it back into the sea.. hahahaha..
It is beautiful lah.. the sky has a gradient and the sea has a gradient...
Then we saw these two strange things on the beach.. I asked Ace to step around it.. in case they are dead or going to die jelly fish.. Max splashed water on them and one of them started MOVING! Max wanted to help them go to the sea but i was afraid he would be stung cos we din know wat they are.. so we just gave them more water and sent them love and hope tat when the tide comes up, they will be saved..
WHen we were about to go home, we saw alot of seagulls flying around...
And they were all flying towards the roundabout whose sprinkles are on and doing their daily watering of the plants...
Then we cleaned up our feet and decided to make our way home..
Only to find this beautiful place with a beautiful sunset and so we stopped the car and continued taking pics till the camera died of no battery.. hahaha
There was this jet skier who splashed water towards us as a greeting and so we waved back at him...
On our way home, we saw a group of indian men.. DRINKING TEA in the middle of a BUSY ROAD! Gosh.. and they actually look happy! If anyone did tat in Singapore, I think the Police will be there in 5 minutes! Hahahahaha
Dinner lovingly prepared by Max...
Then Ace practiced his hula hoop tat we bought from Daiso.. and he is good... he kept practising and in one night... from holding it up only for 6 seconds.. he managed to hold it up for 16 seconds by the end of the night!
Then we watched Paul Blaurt:Mall Cop on tv... and Ace was so excited and jumping up and down while the police and theives were playign hide and seek.. while I sewed five Stones from an old t shirt while watching the movie...
Finished it by the end of the movie but it was TOO big for Ace's hands.. too big for my hand even.. I think have to undo it... and make it smaller:)
