And so there, we were trying to leave Qing He Fang and walk towards West Lake and just as I was taking a picture while Max was getting his bearings, we saw an ang moh carrying a cage with a really cute bunny inside...
That reminded us that we saw this bunny seller nearby just now and that Ace had wanted to go see the bunny cos after he saw it, he thinks the bunny is so cute he declared that he would like to rear a bunny when he grows up... so Max walked forward to ask him where he got the bunny...
He told us it was just in that basement of the building behind us and the whole basement was filled with all sorts of bunnies! So, we decided to go explore... and once and again, we FAILED to walk out of Qing He Fang and walked right back in.....
Tadah! Pet Shops Galore!
So cute, this bunny looks like she has had people apply eye liner to her.. such smoky, sexy eyes:)
Oh my god, so cute!!!
Ace totally intrigued and surprised that the bunnies were not in their cages...
There were also iguanas for sale...
Slugs and snails.. YEW....
And coloured frogs! Initially, I thought there were plastic frogs and that they were fake but they swam and moved!!!!
Tortoises as well....
Another eye liner bunny but this one not so nice cos the nose is black..
Goldfishes...
And check this out.. even mini puffer fishes!
This is a clearer view...
Then we saw a shop tat is closed and looked inside the glass window.. it was a shop selling Aarowana. This is the best shot I could take through the window after zooming in..
Wow.... let's check out what is inside there by zooming in....
It is a pretty painting of swimming aarowanas! Hahahaha.. My camera not bad right.. can zoom into the tank that is so far away through just a window:)
Group hug! Reminded me of my POV workshops.. this one goes out to all my pals at Growth Vision:)
Then Max went to entice the rabbit to nibble at his fingers...
And so Ace took out his courage to monkey see monkey do...
There was also a shop selling this hyper squirrel..this is the only good shot I have of him that is NOT blur cos he kept jumping up and down and I did not want to take photos with flash in case it scared the animals:)
Lovely hamsters...
Then we saw this really cute bunny.. it has white lips and so it looks like those cartoon bunnies with two big white front teeth.. SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I bring it home?????
But Ace says leh, his favourite is the pure white one with red eyes.. hahaha:) Phew.. cos I am sure this one is going to cost alot of money..
This little one loved to nibble at Ace's fingers and so Ace very happily declared that the bunny LOVES him.. but when I tried to put my finger there, the bunny din wanna nibble and so Ace told me, "Sorry mummy, the bunny doesnt like you.. she only loves me..." hahahahaha
I never knew Singapore is well known for rearing aarowana??:P
Anyway, I love the stingrays! so pretty!
More colored frogs again!
And then finally, they started to turn off the lights cos it was closing time! We were so lucky to go there and have just enough time to walk one round the pet shop! And right after we left, the guard just closed the door behind us!
And now, once and again, let us MAKE our way to WEST LAKE:)
Walked past this and cannot help but want to take a photo because this reminded Ace of his least favourite type of toufu. FRIED SMELLY TOUFU:)
Streets of Hangzhou.. that building across us is actually a bank..nice hor:)
Walked past a wedding car;) Huat ah! 1 and 2 are me and max's lucky numbers!:)
And finally, WEST LAKE!
Max totally shagged out after all the walking and decided to take a rest.. Ace was just interested in making more shapes with his magic ruler..
I think all these dun need comments.. just need to see and admire:) wahahahaa
Ace spent a good 10 minutes fiddling with his toy while I took more pics around the area...
He made a walking stick and pretended to walk like a lao ah pek with walking stick... hahahaha.. I noticed after a while though, he only likes to make different types of guns with the magic ruler, if not, he will make the walking stick.. wahahahaa...
It is getting dark very quickly but we can't seem to catch the sunset here.. cos West Lake is super big and we are not quite sure which part of it this is too...
Peach blossoms again.. alas, we are a week too late and half of it has withered...
Even later still, the lights came on and we could see the lighted pagoda from far away..
As it got even darker...
We saw a water fountain show:) But after you watch the Dubai Mall water fountain N times, this is like no big deal anymore.. but of course when they built this, this was one of the largest water fountains in the world lah...
Ace got really grumpy and so we decided to try to find something to eat.. alas, there did not seem to be any nice restaurants with good food and so we decided to go back to our hotel area and decide later... Turned out that we were just something like a 10 minute walk away from our hotel...
We saw someone begging in the streets and he was writing a poem to descirbe his situation.. his words were so beautifully written, they looked like they are printed! I wonder why a person like tat cannot find employment!
We saw that there is some sort of restaurant opposite our hotel and it looked very full.. so we gather the food should be good and so we went there for dinner:)
Gold fishes in the restaurant..
We were so happy to discover that it was a HONGKIE style restaurant and that they served food you can find in cha can teng!:)
We ordered a beer for Max, a bubble tea for Ace and also..
Fried kway tiao for Ace, cheong fun.. carrot cake, steamed veg...
And a wanton noodles... Alas, the food was all very disgustingly NOT tasty... and I usually dun have very high standards when it comes to food even though I have eaten lots of good food before too... so if I say it tastes yucky.. it is really BAD!! Even the the bubble tea tastes like shit.. the bubble is all powdery and hard!
Only Ace who had even less standards than me ate happily.. ahahhaha
Then we tot of buying some snacks for Ace and walked to a confectionary near by. It is very interesting lor.. they had this big pig.. which I think my dad and Max;'s dad will love as a birthday cake:) wahahaha
And many of the cake design theme is based on mahjong or poker... this is Da Si Xi:)
This is Da San Yuan...
Ang Tiong bread anyone?:P
Ace fell in love with these cakes as they had the ACE card inside..
That is our hotel:)
As usual, Max needed his two bottles of beer at night during a holiday.. he went downstairs but came right back up 15 minutes later! Cos he discovered a night market near our hotel;)
And so we all went down to take a look.. alas they were all selling grown up stuff like panties, handphone covers, socks, fake LV bags.. etc..
There was a shop selling dog clothes too...
Ace kept asking to go see toys but the toy stalls werent opened.. so his next best option were chidlren's clothes..
Alas, the tee shirts there that looked nice only had a largest size of 5 and while the shopkeepers insist it is allright for my 7 year old, I would have prefered to buy 8 year old clothing for HIM:)
We finally found a tatoo store and Max wanted to let Ace to a tattoo. But they were air brushing with dunno wat chemicals so I told max to just buy Ace a sticker tattoo...
Then it was time to go back to our room to eat the cakes we bought:)
The hotel very thoughtfully provided bedroom slippers not just for me and Max but also for Ace too:)
And afterward, Ace is back to his favourite hobby of watching TV in the room!
These are our steals from the night market.. two tshirts.. and a iphone cover with screen protector that costs only S$7!
