We were slated to go for a holiday soon and somehow, tat put Max into a holiday mood:) hehehehe..
He told Ace and me that he would bring us to a special place to eat...
And he brought us to Hyatt Hotel...
The hotel is very beautiful but I still did not know what to expect..
I was so pleasantly surprised to find an indoor garden inside the hotel! It is so beautiful!
And finally, we arrived at our destination!
Tadah! SUSHI!
Turns out that, Max's weekend drinking can have some positive benefits too.. he made a friend.. a japanese who is a chef in this hotel and his japanese friend, Ryo, kept urging Max to visit him at the restaurant:)
The restaurant is not very big but is very cosy:)
And needless to say, the food is good!
It is the sort of meal where the chef decides what you eat.. first we had a toufu salad...
And my fav edamame beans:)
Ace anxiously waiting for his fav inari and sushi..
Then came the main course of a hot buckwheat noodle with soup...
And also some springrolls.. alas, i think they made a mistake and added prawns to it.. so we dig out all the prawns and donated them to my tummy since I am the only non vegeterian in my family... i must say the prawns were yummy and super fresh even though i am not much of a seafood person...
And our sushi platter!
Initially Max had thought we might not be full after the meal but he was SO WRONG!:)
Ace was so excited to see the sushi and inari!
He got even more excited when Ryo the chef offered to bring him to get some ice cream... he chose strawbeerry ice cream for me...
Double scoop of chocolate for himself...
And vanilla for his dad..
The ice cream was very good lor... I think ganma Annie have to come to dubai again just so we can bring her to visit this place and eat all the yummy food!:)
The ice cream lady even gave Ace some easter chocolates:)
See, the placemat also so classy.. I really like this place:)
Anyway, we asked Ace if he said thank you to Ryo and he said he forgot.. he always forgets to say thank you when he is excited about what is in front of him.. but he also came up with a good way to make up for it.. he asked for an extra placemat and started using the kids pack that he got to draw Ryo a picture and make him a thank you card:)
The botak cutting sashimi is Ryo:)
After our meal, we walked around in the garden and we found a really nice and big pool.. maybe next time we can organize a staycation or maybe if people come visit, we can suggest they stay in this hotel:) wahahahaha
They even have a huge screen in the middle of their man made pond tat shows soccer matches for the people drinking in the lounge/cafe...
And then it was time to say goodbye:)
Well, I guess I have to take back what I said about Dubai not having any good sushi:) Hehehe..
