ACE, ACE, Baby!:P: Happy Halloween!

It is time for a Halloween Party in Ace's school again. Last year, we went all dressed up and this year, since we know we are going to be standing around in the sun while Ace ran around the school, we were well prepared... cool drink, extra shirt to change into, a bag to put all the candies that Ace gets and also for me and Max, sandals and tshirt and bermuda:) wahahahahaha:)

About a week before, we were discussing what Ace might want to dress up as. As I am unwilling to BUY him him another outfit this year (the policeman outfit last year was only worn once or twice), we had to make do with whatever we had at home. After some discussion, we asked Ace if he would like to be Psy from Gangnam Style since he kept telling us how he was the person who introduced this song to his whole school...

The next day, he went to school and told everyone he is going to dress up as Gangnam Style but everyone said that his outfit is not scary enough for halloween... so leh, he came home and said he changed his mind about going as Psy and decided that he wanted to be something scary... our discussion sort of came to a standstill since there is nothing scary in our house that he can wear...

And then I received a note saying that they are to go to school that day in black or orange and I remembered that I brought this ghostly tshirt along to Dubai and suggested that he wear that to school... and maybe he can just wear this t shirt to the party...

He went to school and came home and told me that everyone laughed at his outfit and say it is not at all scary or halloween like... and they were all discussing what they were going to wear for the party later in the day.. Ace declared that he is going to be something scary.. and since he has tonnes of ghosts on his shirt, he is going to be a CRAZY MULTI GHOST... "So I will wear this shirt and all i need to do is to act crazy..."

"But everyone laughed at me.. and say it is not scary or nice at all..."

"And you are still determined to wear this to the party? It means you cannot take part in the best dressed competition you know..."

"Yeah...i still want to be crazy mutli ghost.."

Usually, Ace minds how other people see him and so I was surprised he decided to wear this anyway even though other people laughed at him and I asked him why...

"Because, mummy, even though other people laugh at my shirt, I still like it very much! So I am going to wear it!:)" Ace grinned.

Wow... finally my son understands that we dun have to do things just because of what OTHER PEOPLE THINK!:) wahahahaha...

As Max also has one piece of this shirt (I have one too but left it in Singapore), I will wear Max's shirt in that case:)

Since it is his second party.. he already knows what to expect and even though most of his friends were not there yet when he arrived, he just went around taking part in the games in return for sweets:)

I must say he is a very helpful friend.. strangely, there were many students looking for their parents.. it is not like the school grounds is very big and some of them were crying.. and they are not the really young kids lor.. strange... i tot ang moh kids very independent one...

As a result of our good friend Ace dancing Oppa Gangnam Style at the playground everyday, the whole school now loves this song.. in fact, the kids requested that the dj play this song 3 times and they even broke out into mass dancing!:)
