Meet The Teachers At Horizon School

I am starting to think it will really make more sense to live near to Ace's school.. as it seems that we have to go to his school often.. there is always something to do there like meet the teachers, watch a performance, attend a party....

Anyway, me and max went for a meet the teachers session that day at Ace's school and we only had one conclusion...

It is buay kan tan to be a teacher in an international school lor...

Cos after we met her teacher, she showed us all his workbooks and they aer filled with work and pics of Ace and her comments.. wah:) No wonder they need a small class size...

Very proud of Ace. He wrote this story all by himself:)
His teacher helped him take the picture as he made the sandwhich and he came up with the instructions by himself.. cool right?:P

My son just loves to draw things as he writes...

The highlighted points are things that Ace has already learnt to do..

Anyway, this is just a sample. I couldnt take pics of EVERYTHING:)

Anyway, according to his teacher, he is doing well at school. She is very pleased with his progress.. he pays attention, listens to instructions and always does what is told.. he is doing well in reading.. so she has promoted him to another harder level of reading.... and he is also taking a keen interest in numbers...

According to Miss O'Donnel, Ace is also very vocal in class and always keen to share ideas and answer questions. Has generally a good attitude to learn and does his work neatly and well. (I think his Kinderland teachers for that good foundation.)

Ace always says that he doesnt have friends in his class and he only plays with the boys from 2S class.... (he is from 2F.. the F stands for Falcon) and so we checked with Ms O'Donnel.. his teacher says he gets along very well with all in his class and the boys in his class love to play with the other boys in the other classes as well as they used to be from the same class last year.

He also seems to be excited and happy about swimming classes as well.. (even though he always complains that he needs to learn free style again when he is at home)

The only thing though, his teacher says is that he tends to fall down alot and so she has asked the PE teacher to keep an eye on him and see if he is ok with his balance... I tell her he falls all the time (I was like tat too when I was a kid) and so far he is ok.. she said tat he keeps falling till she told him "Maybe we should keep you inside a big bubble so you can bounce around the class safely.." and Ace cackled with laughter..

I was so pleased to hear that because it means to me tat Ace understood his teacher and understands her accent.. to the extent that he understood her joke! I do think he is getting the hang of it as he told me he is starting to understand everything that his friends and his teacher says:)

Anyway, after a few short months here, I think my son has grown by leaps and bounds... he is starting to develop stronger ideas of his own about where he wants to go, what he wants to do and what movies he wants to watch and he knows how to read and take references from posters, from his friends... he is reading books with lots of words and little pictures... he even wrote a composition all by himself when he was free....

I can't find it now and din take a pic of it but it went along the lines of "My name is Ace and I live in CMax To Let.." Hahahaha.. tat's cos the building we stay in does not have a name printed on it except for a sign tat said "CMAX TOLET" which means there are rooms available for rental via the Cmax company:) so for the longest time, Ace keeps thinking that we are staying in CMAX TOLET:) hahaha..

Anyway, I am sure all my frens who havent seen him for the past few months will be able to feel the difference too when we meet again during Chinese New Year:)
