October

I was just sorting through my photos and realized that I have some interesting photos taken in October that I have yet to post on this blog...

So, to take the lazy way out, I just grouped them together and post the here and comment on them instead of seperating up:) hahaha...

I saw this interesting thing when I was supermarket shopping and excitedly told Max about it:) It is a shaver for you to shave your head bald.. the way to do it is to put it into your finger and then push your hand back like you are combing your hair...

Max demo for me how to use it.. hahaha.. Unfortunately though, max says he bought this once and after one time use, the spring came out... so he says not worth it... even though it was really quite easy to use.... I think it looks like a mini toy car though...

Kungfu Panda is everywhere... even on toufu boxes!:)

Found many different coloured peppers.. small ones in the supermart and took a pic of them cos the bright colours look so happy.. Placed my hand there so that you get an idea of their size...

Saw a lorry carrying many sheeps.. i presume for slaughter... the poor sheep...

Our new TV:P We sold off all our old tvs (the one we have in dubai and the one we shipped here from singapore) and bought a new, bigger tv cos i reckon we are spending so much time in front of a tv, might as well get a bigger one.. watch liao more "song".... the funny thing is, Max din know that the buttons were touch screen buttons.. wahahahaha.. he only realized it after he watched Ace switch on the TV! wahahahahahaha..... The downside of it is tat now, everyday, Ace wants to watch movies before he goes to bed!!!!!

That is Max at Oktoberfest lah.. Photo courtesy of our good friend, Adam, since I was not there as they do not allow children there. Each cup hor is 1 litre of beer lor... dam heavy.. Max says.. the funny thing is.. someone.. after drinking 4 litres, came home, cooked supper for me to eat, had a conversation with me only to wake up the next day and when talking to me.. I told him he already ate something last night what and he went, "I ate something meh?" And when I told him that he cooked the meal himself, he was even MORE bewildered! hahahahaha.... i told him we even had a conversation while eating and told him what he talked about and he said in his memory, it was just totally blacked out... I laughed at him and asked him how much of his life he waste away just blacking out like tat after lots of alchohol? His answer? "Erm.. about half?" hahahahahahahaha....

Another interesting find while shopping at Toys R Us.. arabic version of the Barbie dooll.. they wear Abayas over their fancy suits and outfits.. so now you know wat they wear underneath their abaya... fyi, the abaya (the black long robe they wear) is NOT a dress... it is actually more like a jacket so they always wear something underneath one. Sometimes they wear pants or jeans. most of the time, it is flowery long, dresses:)

That's diwali near our place cos we are staying in the "indian" part of Dubai... looks like the hari raya in singapore hor?:P But leh, even though the indian population is 30% of the population here and the largest group of pple here, diwali (aka Deepavali in Singapore) is not a PH..

Went for dinner with HL and Fayth and HL brought us to this juice shop tat sells vegeterian food and also this special cream that she says is very yummy.. and she even gave us a treat to this yummilicious dessert:)

Max says it is some sort of curd... it is like yoghurt but thicker than yoghurt.. quite nice...:)

That is Ace playing with his puppet after he finished his dinner... whenever he is out for dinner, he will want to bring alot of his toys along to play with them cos I think he knows we will spend time talking to our frens and he will feel bored;)

Ace's drawing of what he has learnt this term.. their theme for this term is UAE.. this is Burj Khalifa.. the tallest building in Dubai...

This is how Ace's school looks like..

This is a creative version of the 6 star hotel, Burj Al Arab...

Since some 3 weeks ago, Max brought Ace supermarket shopping without me on a saturday monrning and they bought harsh browns... so since then, almost everyweek I get a home cooked breakfast filled with love of eggs and hashbrowns by Max on weekend mornings;)

Saw this at the supermarket.. it is called Prickly Pears.. i din dare to buy it to eat it though.. looks like a cactus to me lor!:)
