The Soul Of Money

Since we have been back, Ah Yee has been constantly looking for new ways to irritate Ace.. either she will ask him to do homework.. or she will go and hide his favourite Chubby and say she wants Ace to give Chubby to didi (in her tummy)....

And as she knows that Ace is like a metal rooster who does not like to take money out from his bank, she keeps thinking of new ways to ask him to take out money to buy some food for the family. According to her, she is trying to make Ace a better, more generous person...

While it is true tat there is great joy in sharing, and that itself is a great and important lesson, I dun think Ace sees it as such when Ah Yee bugs him.. Unfortunately, as her energy of doing it is not one of sharing wisdom but of teasing Ace, and so, Ace did not react quite positively to it.. wahahaha;)

But i did think this is an important lesson and so I told Max about it.. Max told Ace to go to the market and that he has to buy an item for each person of the family.... and then add it all up and collect the money from Max when he comes over... since he is effectively using his dad's money, Ace agreed:)

The other day, we went to NTUC and Ace chose some biscuits and also a packet of nuts (since popo likes to eat nuts) and bought them for the family...

Gong Gong was so happy to get the gifts of food;)

Alas, Ace started eating before Popo reached home!

Zeng Popo also ate the nuts happily...

This reminds me of this book I just reread recently... it is called The Soul of Money and it is a MUST READ for everyone. The book explains how by living a life of sufficiency, we can enrich our lives and be happy with money:)

The author says money is like an energy... if used with a positive intention, the positive energy grows  and you recieve positive energy in return.. .if used with a negative intention, the negative energy grows as well...

An this is an excellent example of this. By staying with our parents during this vacation, we have been often at the recieving end... as my dad cooks for us and my mum washes our clothes for us... Ah Yee and Nett Nett also offer their time and play with Ace and Zhen Popo cleans up after Ace... and in buying food for the family, the energy of love flows back to these people and it creates stronger bonds with the family and makes our love and our experience of staying here while we are back in Singapore RICHER:)

I think I am going to read the book to Ace as a bedtime story whether he likes it or understands it or not:) wahahahaha...
