New Years Eve

Just before new year, my FB was filled with new year wishes and people talking about new year resolutions:) To me and Max though, new year is well.. just another day:)But since it is the start of the year, so we did not have any celebration planned for the new years eve...

It being still an old year and since it is somewhat festive still, we decided to "celebrate" it at an old place we frequent- Lan Kwai Fong restaurant:) wahahahaha...  The boss himself was in a festive mood and had some sort of dessert buffet available for all his customers that night;)

And this is what my son grabbed from the buffet table:) wahahahaha...

After that, we went and walked around the supermarket to buy some veggies and stuff.. and some snacks for the Gohonzon for our new year gongyo..

Check out these ear muffs from Daiso.. cute or not?:P

I discovered something very interesting while shopping,. Can you imagine that I found christian crosses, mother mary and indian idols of gods on sale... in a supermarket? So strange....

Ace needed to buy a new shampoo and he initially wanted to buy this homer simpson one.. I told him cannot.. cos use liao become bald like HOMER and DADDY!:)

Tadah, finally used my sweet cherry blossoms candles and my gohonzon got a box of Ferrer Roche and two bottles of beer to celebrate the new year!:) Huat ah!

I made a happy new year card as we waited for the countdown...

Ace was very excited actually because he wanted to watch the live fireworks for countdown. However, the prospect of driving 6 hours to and fro  Dubai Mall (there will be a massive jam even though the mall is perhaps just a 15 minute drive away from our place) just to watch a 5 min fireworks show was not all that enticing to us...

Then we had a good idea, we decided to explore if we could watch it from our rooftop!

We brought our chair but when we got to the rooftop, the door was locked!

Ace was sooooooooooo disappointed.. Max then said he will ask the watchman to unlock the door for us.. turns out that in the end, the watchman stayed on the rooftop and watched with us:)
Ace and Max waiting for the fireworks on the rooftop..

And the moon was very round that night:)

And then the fireworks started..

Max says it is amazing how the building never catch fire:)

5 minutes later, the show ended.. our friends who were there in Dubai mall watched a movie afterward and reached home at 5am in the morning..

Meanwhile, we just went home and did our new year gongyo.. Ace said he wants to chant 1 hour daimoku and he was so excited to chant and EAT the Ferrer Roche because he says it is going to bring the whole family good luck!:)

Shortly after I started the gongyo with him and Max, Ace ran to the freezer and took out his milk and placed it on the gohonzon table! Oh my god, he had it all planned out.. without my knowing, he had been planning to chant and drink is "lucky" milk afterwards.. cos he figured an hour of chanting is a long time, he put the milk in the freezer to freeze it so that after we finished chanting, it will still stay cold!!!!

Buay tahan this little boy!
In the end, we only chanted half an hour lah.. cos it was getting too late for Ace to stay awake.. But I am happy that max also joined in the chanting tat night:)

Anyway, he was very happy to drink his blessed chocolate milk:)

Found this Happy New Year hat we got from last year's party... what a different new year.. last year we were out partying hard.. this year is very quiet celebration..

Ace bear gets a new year gift.. a shinkansen singlet that Ace says might be too small for him now.. so he donated to his bear:)
Ace and his Ace Bear wishes everyone a Happy new year too!:)

And that marked the end of our 2012:)
