We went to the Punggol Settlement area again. Since the weather was good, we brought along Ace's swing scooter...
But when we arrived, we saw some pple at the "jetty" area... and they looked like they are fishing.. so we went to take a look..
There was a seemingly indonesian familly fishing by the side.. and on the other side, there are a few uncles fishing with fishing rods. I think fellow fishermen have good camaraderie... I saw them helping each other house the fish they caught in common tank.. sharing fishes they caught and sharing bait...
But amongst the uncles there was a young man who was fishing.. not with a rod.. but with a net.
We were all very fascinated with this gor gor lor... his method of fishing is very easy.. just throw the net out.... wait a little and pull it back. Just using this simple method, he caught fishes and crabs lor:) Small ones lah.. but it is like more effective that the "uncles" who were fishing with fishing rods who did not seem to catch much in that same 5 minutes.
After a few rounds, he changed location and realized nothing much left to catch and went home..
So we decided to leave as well.
And went to take a look at the suntanning tortoises:)
Saw this tortoise with a strange shape.. I wonder what made his sehll become this odd shape...
Max went very near to take photos and Ace kept insisting that his dad should not go near because the tortoise has sharp claws and will bite. Turns out that he feels so strongly about it because his friend in Dubai had ever been bitten and gotten hurt by a tortoise.
After suntaning a little.. Mr Odd Shape decided to go back for a swim..
Had a interesting discovery... You know we always say last time policemen wear shorts? Well, not only last time.. now also! The policeman in the police station here all wear bermudas one!:)
We went to the indian restaurant to eat and I saw something really hilarious:) What is Milo Dynasor??? And what is a COKE NORMAL? hahahahhahaha... I thought I will only see such bad english in Dubai...
Then it is time to go home lor..
